(NADS) - On August 9, the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Bac Lieu province held the opening ceremony of the 29th Bac Lieu Province Traditional Art Photography Contest in 2024.
Attending the opening ceremony were comrade Lam Ho Sy - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Meritorious Artisan Do Ngoc An - Chairman of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Bac Lieu province, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest; leaders of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism; Organizing Committee of the Contest, photographers, members of the Provincial Photography Association.
The Bac Lieu Province Traditional Art Photography Contest is one of many traditional activities of the Bac Lieu Province Literature and Art Association. The entries have captured beautiful moments of daily life, the dynamic transformation of Bac Lieu in all fields, demonstrating the will and aspiration of the Party Committee, army and people of the province in the process of building a rich and civilized homeland. Thereby contributing to promoting the image of Bac Lieu land and people to friends near and far.
After more than 02 months of launching, with the theme "Aspiration for Bac Lieu", the Contest received more than 250 works from 28 authors living in the province, reflecting quite vividly on the fields: Politics, economy, culture, society, national defense, security, agriculture, rural areas.
As a result, the jury selected 11 winning works. The first prize went to the photo “Wedding in the countryside” by Do Minh Chau; 2 second prizes went to the photo “Morning mist in the countryside” by Dang Quang Vinh and the photo “Labor smile” by Nguyen Hoang Huynh, along with 3 third prizes and 4 consolation prizes.
