On the morning of August 1, the Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Tourism Association provided a series of information showing that VIET SKY Service and Trading Company Limited (headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, abbreviated as Viet Sky Company) had signs of fraud and appropriation of assets of tourism businesses in Nha Trang.
Accordingly, up to now, there have been 3 complaints and 1 unit said that it will file a complaint against the above mentioned tourism business for fraud and property appropriation.
Fake transaction documents?
Specifically, the complaint of December Hotel stated that in July 2024, Ms. Nguyen Le Uyen P. - Director of Viet Sky Company - and Mr. Le Thanh T. - an employee of this company - contacted December Hotel to book accommodation services for a group of 91 guests (47 rooms) from July 11 to July 13.
Mr. Le Thanh T. represented the company to make the transaction and transferred the deposit of 10 million VND to the hotel. On July 13, when the group of guests from Viet Sky Company got on the bus and prepared to leave, the December Hotel staff asked Mr. T. to pay the remaining amount of 76.7 million VND.
Mr. Le Thanh T. only sent a screenshot of the payment transfer via Zalo, so the hotel agreed to let the group of guests leave. However, in reality, the money did not go into the hotel's account.
December Hotel contacted Mr. T. many times, but he did not cooperate, denied sending fake transaction images, did not pay, and blocked communication.
As of 10:00 a.m. on August 1, a representative of December Hotel said they still had not received any money from Viet Sky Company.

Representatives of hotels in Nha Trang City denounced the fraudulent behavior of Viet Sky Company.
With similar behavior, Viet Sky Company also booked 51 rooms for guests staying at The Art Nest Nha Trang hotel from July 19 to July 21 and a gala dinner.
On July 21, when the group of guests from the above company was preparing to leave, The Art Nest Nha Trang Hotel asked Viet Sky Company to pay the remaining amount of 78,580,000 VND.
After that, Ms. Nguyen Le Uyen P. also sent a photo of the payment authorization with the amount of 78,580,000 VND via Zalo to the hotel staff. Believing that the partner had transferred the money, the hotel let the group of guests leave.
However, when the hotel's accounting department checked, they discovered that they had not received the above amount. After that, the hotel contacted Ms. Nguyen Le Uyen P. many times to request the payment of the above amount, but Ms. P. still refused to transfer the money.
On July 30, the Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Tourism Association submitted a petition to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, Ho Chi Minh City Police, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, etc. to investigate and handle Viet Sky Company for signs of fraud and appropriation of assets of tourism businesses in Nha Trang.
At the same time, the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association asked customers of Viet Sky Company to intervene. The group of guests that The Art Nest Nha Trang Hotel served from July 19 to July 21 later sent a document requesting Viet Sky Company to explain because it still held 30% of the tour fee.
After the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association sent a document to the authorities and the authorities got involved, by the afternoon of July 31, 2024, Viet Sky Company had just transferred the full amount to The Art Nest Nha Trang Hotel. December Hotel has not yet been paid by this company.
Scam nearly 350 million dong?
Four Seasons Restaurant (Nha Trang City) also said that a group of guests from Viet Sky Company booked 90 guests on July 13 with a total cost of nearly 128 million VND (nearly 62 million VND had been paid in advance), the remaining amount of nearly 66 million VND had not been paid by Viet Sky Company as of August 1.
When the Four Seasons Restaurant staff contacted him, Mr. Le Thanh T. found excuses and delayed payment. Mr. T. even texted him threateningly: "I told you to calm down and not panic and do anything bad - if the customer says Four Seasons bothers them for no reason, the entire company will rate them 1 star."

Mr. Le Thanh T.'s message when he was "demanded to pay debt" threatened to give a 1 star rating.
More specifically, International Consulting Law Company Limited (located in Ho Chi Minh City) also denounced the act of fraud and appropriation of property. Specifically, in July 2023, this company booked a tour with Viet Sky Company to Bali (Indonesia) for nearly 500 million VND, paying in advance nearly 350 million VND.
However, before the departure date, International Consulting Law Company Limited unexpectedly received news that Viet Sky Company had booked the wrong ticket, but when requesting a ticket code, Viet Sky Company did not cooperate.
The International Consulting Law Company Limited said that when it requested the authorities to verify, Viet Sky Company did not book a room in Bali. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism Inspectorate also determined that Viet Sky Company did not have an international travel business license.
To date, International Consulting Law Firm LLC has not received the deposit back from Viet Sky Company.
