( Bqp.vn ) - On the afternoon of August 7, in Hanoi, the Emulation Bloc of agencies and units of the General Staff held a conference to announce the Decision to establish Emulation Bloc No. 2 and launch emulation for the last 6 months of 2024. Major General Nguyen Ngoc Doan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the General Staff - Ministry of National Defense Agency, Political Commissar of the General Staff chaired the conference. Attending the conference were leaders of agencies and units under Emulation Bloc No. 2.

The conference announced the Decision to establish Emulation Bloc No. 2. Accordingly, Emulation Bloc No. 2 consists of 9 agencies and units, including 01 block leader, 01 deputy block leader and 07 member agencies and units; the Chairman of the Emulation and Reward Council of the units is a member of the emulation bloc. In 2024, the block leader is the Political Department of the General Staff, the deputy block leader is the Military History Institute. In the following years, the block leader and deputy block leader will be held by the units in the bloc in turn in the order listed in the emulation bloc according to the Decision of the Chief of the General Staff; the deputy block leader of the previous year will be the block leader of the following year; the unit ranked after the deputy block leader of the previous year will be the deputy block leader of the following year.

The emulation bloc is responsible for developing plans to organize emulation activities; determining the content, targets, and measures of emulation; launching and signing emulation agreements. Checking and evaluating the results of emulation movements in the emulation bloc; classifying units in the emulation bloc; summarizing and concluding emulation movements every 6 months and annually; proposing directions and tasks for organizing emulation movements of the emulation bloc; exchanging experiences, building emulation models, advanced examples for propaganda, dissemination, and replication; organizing voting and honoring collectives with outstanding and typical achievements in the emulation bloc to propose emulation titles in summarizing the emulation movements every year and period.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Nguyen Ngoc Doan emphasized that on the basis of thoroughly grasping and implementing the Emulation movement to win launched by the General Staff and promoting the achievements and results of the first 6 months of the year, closely following the functions and tasks, Emulation Block No. 2 of the General Staff determined to continue to make efforts, unite, and be determined to compete to successfully carry out the tasks of the last 6 months of 2024, focusing on thoroughly grasping the directives and resolutions of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, the Party Committee of the General Staff - the Ministry of National Defense. Maintaining solidarity and unity, promoting exemplary behavior, strengthening discipline, focusing on building agencies and units under the General Staff strong in politics, ideology, ethics, organization and personnel; resolutely fighting against corruption, waste, loss, and negativity; Promote the exemplary role of cadres and party members, especially key cadres, secretaries, and party committees at all levels.

Be proactive, innovative, creative, focus on research, improve the quality of forecasting, give accurate, timely and effective advice; promptly report and propose appropriate policies and measures to firmly protect the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Fatherland. Direct the combat readiness forces to ensure absolute safety for important political and cultural events of the Party and State; effectively implement resolutions, conclusions, strategies, projects, programs and plans on military and national defense in 2024. Compete to promote the improvement of the quality and effectiveness of the implementation of the "Three Breakthroughs" (breakthrough in organization and staffing; breakthrough in improving the quality of training, drills and training to meet the requirements and capabilities of combat readiness and combat; breakthrough in building regulations, law enforcement, discipline and promoting administrative reform, developing e-Government and digital transformation). Organize and implement emulation and reward work to ensure democracy, publicity, strictness, timeliness, and compliance with principles. Effectively organize and implement emulation activities to celebrate major holidays of the Party, State, and Army; the peak emulation period "Proud of tradition - Continuing the feats, worthy of Uncle Ho's soldiers" to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, 35th anniversary of National Defense Day.

To better meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation, on behalf of Emulation Bloc No. 2, Major General Nguyen Ngoc Doan called on all cadres, employees, soldiers, professional soldiers, defense workers and employees in the entire emulation bloc to promote the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", the will of self-reliance, self-strengthening, dynamism, creativity, strive to compete, set many new achievements, successfully complete the goals, contents and targets of the Emulation Movement to Win in 2024 and the peak emulation periods, build a strong and determined to win Emulation Bloc of Agencies and Units of the General Staff; make an important contribution to the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland, worthy of the trust and love of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the General Staff.
