The 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day created a wave of searches on the Coc Coc search engine in April.
According to data recorded up to April 28, in just 4 weeks, there were about 2.8 million searches related to topics about this historic event. The number of searches peaked on April 25 with 240,000, an increase of 550% compared to the average of the first days of the month.

Most notably, the phrase “national concert” - a creative way for young people to call the parade - became a “hot” keyword, official activities such as “parade, march, review”, sacred symbols such as “the image of the red flag with yellow star”, and traditional songs also received more attention on this occasion.
An interesting point is that the phrase “national concert” has 92% of related searches from users aged 18 - 34. The way the parade is called in youthful language shows that the new generation is looking for a connection with traditional values through a close, lively approach, where the solemn ceremonies are felt as a symphony of national pride.
With similar results, on the Google platform in the past 7 days, keywords such as "Vietnamese flag", "national concert", "April 30 parade schedule"... also topped the trending list with a search volume increase of up to 200%.
Search keywords for symbolic images such as "national flag", "tank crashed into Independence Palace", "Independence Palace"... reflecting the strong spread of national pride are searched a lot.
Users not only look up event schedules but also search for wallpapers, celebration logos, propaganda slogans, April 30 history...

“National Concert” is the keyword searched most by young people.
Coc Coc platform recorded that the topics of National Flag, National Anthem and traditional songs also “occupied the airwaves” throughout April. Keywords such as National Anthem, Liberation of the South, Marching to Saigon, Spring in Ho Chi Minh City… continuously reached the top of searches.

Data from YouNet Media's social media listening platform SocialHeat shows that in the four weeks from March 23 to April 19, the number of news and video discussions revolving around events in the April 30 celebration program skyrocketed.
The most prominent event was the “national concert” - the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, attracting more than 270,460 users to participate in the discussion, creating 2.07 million discussions and 14.67 million interactions.

There were more than 14.6 million interactions related to the "National Concert" event.
Among them, social media platforms such as Facebook and Tiktok account for a large proportion of these discussions, with 55.6% of discussions on Facebook and 34.6% on Tiktok.
According to statistics from YouNet Media, 58% of discussions on social networks are calls for friends and relatives to join the parade and march, thereby demonstrating a strong spirit of solidarity and national pride.
51% of discussions related to national pride, showing that people not only see this as an occasion to celebrate, but also as an opportunity to express love for the country, honoring the history of the struggle for independence and freedom.
The online community is also very interested in the products launched to respond to the spirit of national pride and patriotism such as T-shirts printed with the national flag, maps, and famous landscapes in Vietnam and accessories such as key chains, national flag crochet hooks, and national flag face stickers.
Statistics show that the top 38 best-selling booths of products launched on the occasion of April 30 on Tiktok Shop sold more than 161,000 fashion and accessory products, bringing in revenue of 13.7 billion VND.
