- The version of the song "The Country Full of Joy" performed by you is being well received and widely spread by the audience, how do you feel?

When she learned that her version of the song “The Country Full of Joy” was loved by the audience and widely spread, To Hoa was very touched and grateful. This is not only a recognition of her own efforts, but also a great joy to see that the love for historical values ​​and immortal songs still lives on in the hearts of listeners today.

To Hoa is happy because she can contribute a small part in bringing traditional music closer to the new generation, so that each melody that resonates reminds us of the days that we will never forget. This will be a great source of motivation for To Hoa to continue to contribute, to continue to renew beautiful values ​​with all her heart.

- As the first soprano to perform this song, do you feel pressured when performing a famous song, familiar to the audience through many famous male singers such as People's Artist Trung Kien, People's Artist Ta Minh Tam...?

When accepting to perform the song " The Country is Full of Joy" - a song that is associated with the memories of many generations, and is often performed by strong, resonant male voices - To Hoa felt really pressured.

The biggest pressure is how to maintain the song's inherent spirit of generosity and sacredness, but at the same time breathe new life into it with the soft, profound emotions of the female artist and warrior.

It's hard for me to express the previous ways of expression, I want to find my own way of expression, both respecting the original and bringing new emotions to the audience.

That pressure is also the motivation for To Hoa to try harder in each verse, each way of handling music, with all the respect and love for this song.

- How do you feel when performing this song?

When I entered the studio, put on the uniform of the Vietnam People's Army, stood in the light and remembered the heroic image of the nation on the joyful day of national reunification, I felt like I was really stepping into the space of history, rejoicing in the moment when the entire Vietnamese people burst into emotion, in the shouts of "Peace!".

I thought I was hearing the loudspeaker announcing the Great Victory; seeing tears rolling down the cheeks of Vietnamese mothers, tight hugs of loved ones after many years of separation. There was even a moment when millions of hearts beat in unison to the rhythm of freedom.

Today, I am a young person fortunate enough to grow up in peace, wishing to sing about those heroic days. I think of the mothers, grandmothers, and Vietnamese women who quietly raised their children amid bombs and bullets, taking care of the house so that their husbands could fight at the front. They did not go to war, but were always at the front line, keeping the faith.

- Technically, did you encounter many challenges?

Technically, the song " Dat Nuoc Tron Niem Vui" is a real challenge for To Hoa. The song has a strong musical structure, requiring a wide vocal range, bright resonance and lasting power that are usually suitable for a tenor voice.

When translating to a female voice, I have to carefully calculate how to handle breathing, resonance, as well as how to emphasize the words to maintain the bustling atmosphere while still being soft and flexible, true to the color of my voice.

In particular, the climaxes require very tight control of volume and emotion, to convey the explosion of joy of victory without being disproportionate or strained.

I had to make quite a few adjustments, not only in terms of vocal technique but also in terms of "getting into" each verse, so that the song is both technically solid and naturally full of emotion.

- What special meaning does "The Country is Full of Joy" have that you chose to express in the treasure trove of songs about Unification Day?

I chose “The Country Full of Joy” because this is a song with a very strong symbolic meaning about the day of Southern Liberation and National Reunification. Right from the first melodies, the song fully conveys the explosive atmosphere, the overwhelming happiness of the whole nation after the long years of resistance.

For me, this is not only a historical song, but also an immortal declaration of faith and love for the country. When I sing this song, I feel like I am reliving that sacred moment, joining the flow of national pride.

So, I feel this is the most suitable choice to express my feelings on the occasion of the anniversary of national reunification.
