According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Binh, in order to support rural industrial establishments (RIEs) to develop stably and sustainably, many industrial promotion activities of the province have been implemented. In particular, the Program to vote for typical RIEs is one of the support solutions for RIEs to improve their production capacity, competitiveness, create opportunities for exchange, learning, cooperation to find new development directions, at the same time create jobs, increase income for workers, contribute to building new rural areas, and develop the local socio-economy.

At the same time, the organization of the vote for typical rural industrial products aims to discover and honor rural industrial products with high quality, high use value, potential for production development, market expansion, and meeting the tastes of domestic and foreign consumers. From there, the Department of Industry and Trade has a plan to support production development and trade promotion, promote product brands, contributing to promoting the development of rural industrial products. Most of the province's typical industrial products have made great strides in the domestic and foreign markets, product quality is increasingly improved, designs are beautiful, and meet consumer tastes.

According to Mr. Ho Nhat Binh - Head of Industry Department (Quang Binh Department of Industry and Trade): In recent times, the program to vote for typical IT products aims to discover and honor products with high quality, high usage value, potential for production development, market expansion, meeting the tastes of domestic and foreign consumers, as a basis for having a plan to support product development, contributing to promoting IT development; at the same time, selecting typical IT products of the province to participate in the vote at the Central - Central Highlands region level.

“The selection of typical IT products is based on basic criteria such as: Meeting the market demand and production development capacity; economic - technical - social and environmental criteria; cultural and aesthetic criteria and other criteria. A IT facility can register to vote for one or more products. Typical IT products can register to vote in many voting periods” - Mr. Binh said.

Mr. Dao Anh Tuan - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Binh - said: " The Department of Industry and Trade is the standing agency of the Provincial Council for Selection of Typical Industrial Technology Products (the Council), and has advised the Council to organize 07 voting periods. Thereby, 230 products/product sets participated in the voting and 202 products/product sets were recognized as typical industrial technology products at the provincial level; 32 products/product sets were recognized as typical industrial technology products at the regional level; 12 products/product sets were recognized as typical industrial technology products at the national level" .

Accordingly, from the results of the voting for IT products, IT establishments have enjoyed benefits such as: Being rewarded in cash, printing or pasting the logo of the Typical IT Product Voting on the product or packaging of the recognized product; being provided with information, consulting and guidance on accessing preferential policies and support from the locality and the state; being given priority in considering support from local industrial promotion funds and national industrial promotion funds for vocational training, improving management capacity, supporting technology transfer, applying advanced machinery and equipment to production, promoting trade and other activities. Participating in conferences connecting enterprises, IT production establishments with distribution and sales units to promote and cooperate in product consumption. Through supply-demand connection conferences, it has created opportunities for enterprises and IT establishments to introduce and promote typical IT products, bring products into the distribution chain, help increase revenue, solve jobs, income for workers and contribute to the state budget.

From 2012 to 2024, the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Binh advised the Provincial People's Committee to support 25 IT establishments whose products were recognized as typical IT products at the provincial/regional/national levels with a total support fund of 2,045 million VND from local industrial promotion funds.

According to Mr. Dao Anh Tuan, the selection of typical ITNT products is considered a driving force for production establishments, an opportunity to affirm local typical products, to be honored, to create momentum for development and to expand the scale of production of high quality and valuable products, to expand the market, to meet the tastes of domestic and foreign consumers. Thereby, encouraging and promoting the development of rural industry, encouraging enterprises and cooperatives to invest in production development, applying advanced machinery and equipment, innovating technology, improving quality, competitiveness in the market and meeting the requirements of economic integration.

Through the product voting periods, it has been shown that the Program for voting for typical IT products has attracted, encouraged, and motivated IT production establishments to actively respond and participate, encouraging IT establishments to continuously develop products, maintain and improve productivity and product quality; constantly expand and develop production scale to serve social needs.

“ In the coming time, to encourage enterprises and IT establishments to participate more and more in the program of voting for typical IT products, the Department of Industry and Trade will continue to promote information and propaganda activities, increase awareness of the voting for typical IT products. Thereby, attracting more IT establishments to register to participate in order to discover more and more quality products with high competitiveness, typical products with strong regional cultural identity, typical of the locality ” - Mr. Tuan added.
