Promote self-study spirit
Every time teacher H'Nina posts a family photo with 4 members, someone comments "a gathering of the best". Her parents are both teachers, her brother is a doctor at Cao Nguyen Eye Hospital - Gia Lai . The young teacher is aware of the role of her job, so she studies hard and improves her expertise to convey energy and inspiration to students to learn English in every class.

While still a student of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Tay Nguyen University, the Jrai girl achieved many outstanding achievements such as: first prize in the Student Singing Festival (2018) with the song "Xon xang van mang cao nguyen Dak Lak " in French; second prize in the Star Award contest in the Central Highlands region (2020).
With outstanding academic achievements and contributions to school activities, H'Nina was honored to join the Party at the age of 20, when she was a third-year student. Sharing that special moment, the young teacher expressed: "That year, the entire Faculty of Foreign Languages only had 2 students admitted to the Party. I am also an ethnic minority, so I am even more proud."
Ms. Tran Thi Nghia Binh - Vice Principal of Huynh Thuc Khang High School: "Ms. Kpa H'Nina is a young teacher, dedicated to her work and enthusiastic about movements. She has an attractive English teaching style for students, is talented in singing and dancing, and has a confident demeanor in both work and life, creating a good image for students."
Teaching English at Huynh Thuc Khang High School, the young teacher confided: “I live optimistically and confidently. I want to pass on that energy and inspiration to my students, especially female students from ethnic minorities, so that they have the desire to excel, expand their knowledge, and improve their skills, especially in English. Because learning a foreign language well will open up many opportunities for them in the future.”

Despite achieving her childhood dream, Ms. H'Nina has never stopped striving to improve herself. As a Jrai person who teaches English and knows French, she still believes that her mother tongue is limited. Every day, she still learns the spoken and written Jrai language.
Ms. H'Nina shared: “When my whole family meets, we communicate in Jrai. My father always says that to preserve culture, we must start with writing and speaking. He once participated in several Jrai textbook compilation projects, so he was concerned about the problem of the young Jrai generation not knowing their mother tongue. I want to be fluent in Jrai so that I can better understand the culture of my people.”
An intellectual family
Teacher H'Nina's parents are ethnic minority intellectuals, part of a generation that overcame poverty to go to school. In all circumstances, they always promote the spirit of self-study.
Ms. H'Nina said: "My parents' way of life inspired my brother and I to strive, especially the spirit of lifelong learning. Without studying hard, it will be very difficult to develop ourselves. My brother is currently continuing to study to improve his expertise."
Talking about his daughter, Mr. Ksor Rul - Teacher at Ayun Pa Town Boarding Secondary School - said: "Since childhood, H'Nina has been very independent. Once, she was in pain and had to lie down all day because she was tired, but at 4 am, H'Nina woke up and turned on the light to study. Not only in studying, she also tries her best to complete everything."
Mr. Rul said: His road to school was full of bumps and obstacles due to hunger and poverty. Since he was a child, he always had to go to school with an empty stomach. In the morning, there was nothing to eat, so he had to walk many kilometers to school. At noon, after school, he had to walk back to where his parents worked in the fields for a few more kilometers to have rice to eat.
“Most of my peers dropped out of school and followed their parents to work in the fields. When I passed the university entrance exam, my family had no money so I had to stop studying,” Mr. Rul confided.
Four years later, Mr. Rul decided to take the university entrance exam again and studied agronomy at Tay Nguyen University. After graduating with a degree in agronomy engineering, he returned to contribute to building his homeland througheducation . He also had time to teach Jrai language to local officials and civil servants. Although he is near retirement age, Mr. Rul still has not stopped worrying about education, especially in ethnic minority areas.
“I hope that in the near future, Bahnar and Jrai languages can become compulsory subjects for students of these two ethnic minorities in boarding schools. We must preserve the spoken and written languages so that the younger generation can know the culture of our people,” said Mr. Rul.
