On August 7, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province informed that the locality will coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize a special art program with the theme "Immortal Epic". This event is part of a series of activities to express gratitude and repay kindness in 2024 and to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the signing of the Geneva Agreement on the cessation of hostilities in Vietnam in Quang Tri (1954 - 2024).

The special art program "Immortal Epic" is an annual event hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with localities, to pay tribute to heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and people with revolutionary contributions who sacrificed and contributed to the cause of national liberation, construction and protection of the Fatherland.

The program demonstrates the nation's morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking water", and at the same time, contributes to strengthening education on revolutionary traditions and responsibilities of generations, especially the young generation, towards their homeland.

Following the success of previous years, the "Immortal Epic" Program in 2024 is one of the special and meaningful activities within the framework of the "Peace Wish" Program of the 2024 Peace Festival held for the first time in Quang Tri province.

Specifically, the program will take place from 8:10 p.m. on August 11, 2024 with a duration of 90 minutes and will be reported live at 2 locations: Quang Tri Ancient Citadel Special Historical Relic Site and Thach Han River Flower Lantern Release Wharf (Quang Tri Province).

According to the Organizing Committee, the program will feature performances by artists: People's Artist Quang Tho, Artist Thanh Thanh Hien, Singer Tung Duong, Anh Tho, Trong Tan, Dang Duong, Duong Hoang Yen, Pham Khanh Ngoc, Viet Danh, Oplus Group..., veterans, children with immortal revolutionary songs resounding in the night of the ancient citadel, reviving the difficult and heroic years of the nation.

The content of the special art program is elaborately and magnificently staged, combining traditional art colors with modern stage techniques, design, and staging, ensuring both political and artistic values ​​with 3 chapters: Forever twenty years old; Writing a legend; Forever echoing the military march.

The special art program "Immortal Epic" shows the process of fighting steadfastly, bravely, and sacrificing for the independence and freedom of the nation by the fathers, brothers, and today's generations who are joining hands to build the homeland in the common development of the country with the spirit of pride in the past and looking towards the future./.
