Vietnam Airlines recorded that key domestic tourist routes during the September 2 holiday this year were nearly 50% full and are expected to continue to increase rapidly in the coming time.

In recent months, Vietnam Airlines has received an additional Airbus A320neo and a Boeing 787-10 to enhance its service to serve peak travel demand of passengers.

In order to meet the travel needs of passengers, Vietnam Airlines will increase the number of flights during the peak period of National Day for 4 days from August 30 to September 4, 2024. The total number of seats provided on the entire domestic and international network during this time is approximately half a million seats, equivalent to nearly 2,500 flights. Accordingly, the airline will focus on increasing the frequency of domestic routes between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, Da Lat, Cam Ranh; between Ho Chi Minh City and Hue, Phu Quoc... The total number of domestic seats will reach 330,000 seats, equivalent to more than 1,700 flights, an increase of more than 19% over the same period in 2023. The international routes with the most flights are between Vietnam and India, China, Thailand, and Australia. The total number of international seats will reach more than 150,000 seats, equivalent to more than 650 flights, a slight increase compared to last year. Vietnam Airlines recorded that key domestic tourist routes were nearly 50% full and are expected to continue to increase rapidly in the coming time. International routes to India, China, Thailand, and Australia also achieved positive results with occupancy rates from 50% to 70%. Ensuring the supply capacity during the peak period of National Day on September 2 is a great effort by Vietnam Airlines in the context of the aviation industry lacking aircraft due to the impact of manufacturers recalling engines for inspections globally. In recent months, Vietnam Airlines has received an additional Airbus A320neo and a Boeing 787-10 to enhance service for passengers' travel needs during peak times. For a smooth trip, Vietnam Airlines recommends that passengers book tickets earlier than the expected departure date to have more flight options and increase the possibility of purchasing attractive ticket prices. The airline also recommends that passengers use self-check-in methods before their flight to save time during peak season, such as: automatic check-in via website www.vietnamairlines.com, mobile application (mobile check-in), telephone (telephone check-in) or at self-check-in counters (kiosk check-in).
