Ensuring the quality of Long Thanh airport
After hearing the report on the progress of the runway and apron construction, which was several months ahead of schedule, Mr. Man praised the investor and contractors for their efforts in completing the project.
The National Assembly Chairman said: "Currently, Tan Son Nhat airport is overloaded, so Long Thanh airport is expected to serve people's travel.
The progress is good, but the units must pay attention to quality, labor safety, and the lives of engineers and workers participating in the construction site... Especially, they must ensure the operating time is according to plan."
At the Loc An - Binh Son resettlement area, Mr. Man visited some households about life in their new home after giving up land to build Long Thanh airport.
Mr. Man thanked and shared the sacrifices of the people in giving up land to build an international airport.
People also said that after two years of moving to their new home, life has gradually stabilized.
He noted that any work that needs to be done immediately, including an airport, must have effective, synchronous connecting roads. Regularly inspect and monitor the quality of construction works in accordance with regulations, to avoid loss, waste, and negativity.
He encouraged leaders of units and localities to go to many places to grasp people's thoughts and aspirations and provide timely support.
According to Mr. Man, National Assembly delegates are very interested and look forward to the early operation of Long Thanh airport.
"Any blockages or obstacles, if subjective, need to be resolved, and if objective, recommendations must be made. The National Assembly has delegated power to the Government, so it needs to implement the resolutions. I hope the province, the investor and related units will coordinate to complete the project on schedule," he said.
