Specifically, the Chairman of the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Planning and Architecture and the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District to continue implementing the direction of the Party Committee and the City People's Committee;

Taking the Concept Plan and solutions for organizing the architectural landscape space of Dong Kinh - Nghia Thuc Square area as the basis for researching the investment project to renovate, embellish and reconstruct the Dong Kinh - Nghia Thuc Square area - an area with high historical and cultural value, connecting two important areas: Hoan Kiem Lake National Special Monument Area (North) with the Old Quarter National Monument Area (South);

Specific solutions include: Demolishing the “Shark Jaw” building; Researching, proposing, and arranging 3 basements in the existing square area and expanded space (after demolishing the “Shark Jaw” building) to arrange cultural and commercial space in basement 1, parking area in basements 2 and 3;

In case there is no parking arrangement, it can be used as a dual-use space; The process of researching the space organization plan of Dong Kinh - Nghia Thuc Square will specifically consider the organization of space, the entrance and exit to the basement, traffic organization solutions, landscape for surrounding areas and works, the location of the yard, stands, the location of the "Light Tower", the plan for the arrangement and placement of trees (with suitable solutions for heritage trees), lighting plans, etc.;

The Chairman of the City People's Committee also assigned the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District to organize the establishment of a Master Plan in parallel with the establishment of a separate urban design (based on the concept plan and solutions for organizing architectural and landscape space) to serve as a basis for implementing the investment project to renovate, renovate and reconstruct the space of Dong Kinh - Nghia Thuc Square according to regulations (during the establishment process, it is necessary to consult the City Architecture Council, ask for opinions from relevant organizations, individuals and communities);...
