Vietnam Coast Guard exchanges experiences with Philippine Coast Guard

On August 5, ship CSB 8002 and the Vietnam Coast Guard delegation led by Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Quoc Dat, Deputy Commander of Coast Guard Region 2, docked at Manila port (Philippines), beginning a visit, exchange and experience sharing with the Philippine Coast Guard.

Vice Admiral Arnaldo M Lim, Director of the Center for Tactical Studies and International Cooperation, Philippine Coast Guard presided over the welcoming ceremony for ship CSB 8002 in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, demonstrating the friendly and close cooperative relationship between the Philippine Coast Guard and the Vietnam Coast Guard.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Admiral Arnaldo M Lim said that the visit and exchange of CSB 8002 ship and the Vietnam Coast Guard delegation in the Philippines this time highlighted and deepened the relationship not only between the two countries but also between the Philippine Coast Guard and the Vietnam Coast Guard. This is a testament to the trust and cooperation that have shaped the relationship between the two sides over the years.

Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Quoc Dat thanked the country and people of the Philippines in general, and the Philippine Coast Guard in particular, for the warm, thoughtful and attentive reception given to CSB 8002 and the Vietnam Coast Guard delegation. Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Quoc Dat hoped that this visit of CSB 8002 in the Philippines would be an opportunity for officers and staff of the Vietnam Coast Guard and the Philippine Coast Guard to exchange and learn about various aspects of work during the performance of their duties, especially in the field of law enforcement at sea.

At the end of the welcoming ceremony, Vice Admiral Arnaldo M Lim and officers of the Philippine Coast Guard visited ship CSB 8002.
