Close-up of a series of construction order violations in Phu Thuong ward
According to Nguoi Dua Tin, in the 40m road area of Phu Thuong ward (Tay Ho district, Hanoi), there are many constructions violating construction order and using land for the wrong purpose for many years but have not been completely handled.
Accordingly, the situation of illegal construction and arbitrary conversion of land use purposes from agricultural land to factories, warehouses and construction sites in Phu Thuong ward for many years has not been handled, causing public opinion to raise many questions about whether the local government is showing signs of lax management, allowing these violations to blatantly exist and challenge the law.

Illegal construction and unauthorized conversion of land use purposes from agricultural land to factories, warehouses and construction sites have been taking place in Phu Thuong ward for many years.

Seen from above, the 40m roadside plots of land are covered with green corrugated iron roofs and built with makeshift frames.

The 500m long strip of public agricultural land opposite the Nam Thang Long urban area, in addition to the plots still being used for agricultural production, has a lot of excess land close to the road that has become shacks, corrugated iron houses, and signs for business purposes.

Most of these kiosks and shacks are built temporarily.

According to observations, unsafe electrical installations pose many potential fire and explosion risks.

Some of the land has become car washes.

This area is becoming a hot spot for construction violations in Tay Ho district.

Notably, above this series of tents and kiosks is a high-voltage power line system.

Regarding the series of illegal constructions on the 40m road, in an exchange with Nguoi Dua Tin, the People's Committee of Phu Thuong Ward said that from 2021 to now, there have been no new construction violations in the reported area, all of which have existed for a long time. "These violations have existed for a long time, I also do not know. Up to now, the People's Committee of the ward is planning to review these cases because they are related to land violations," said this official.

When Nguoi Dua Tin mentioned the roadmap for handling violations here, an official from the Phu Thuong Ward People's Committee said he did not dare to build a roadmap. Because up to now, each case has been reviewed, classified, and determined when a plan will be developed to handle it. "Now that people have been doing business for so long, it would be very difficult for a new official to suddenly bring it up for handling. The ward is currently planning to review this matter," the official from the ward People's Committee added.

With the information shared by the People's Committee officer, public opinion has raised the question of whether the People's Committee of Phu Thuong Ward is showing signs of lax management to allow these violations to exist openly. Through this, it is requested that the People's Committee of Tay Ho District and the People's Committee of Hanoi City investigate and clarify the responsibilities of individuals and organizations to allow this situation to continue, causing public outrage. Nguoi Dua Tin will continue to inform about this incident.
