By the morning of August 14, the schools uploaded the first admission results of all admission methods of the school to the system. By the end of August 14, the virtual admission filtering system will return the results of processing the first wishes.

According to the virtual filtering process of the Ministry of Education and Training, the virtual filtering and admission will start from August 13 to 5:00 p.m. on August 17. The virtual filtering process is carried out in parallel at two groups of schools in the North and South regions.

In particular, the Southern virtual filtering group coordinated by Ho Chi Minh City National University is expected to conduct virtual filtering about 10 times. The Ministry of Education and Training will conduct virtual filtering 6 times nationwide. After the last nationwide virtual filtering session, universities will upload the results of processing wishes and prepare for the announcement of standard scores.

Before 5:00 p.m. on August 17, schools will enter the admission scores and admission results into the system; review and prepare to announce the first round of admission results according to the general schedule. The Ministry of Education and Training stipulates that schools announce the first round of admission results before 5:00 p.m. on August 19. However, some schools such as Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, Gia Dinh University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, etc. are expected to announce the results on August 17.

Number of wishes, standard score increased?

In the stage of uploading the database to the general admission system, many universities recorded a significant increase in the number of applications for admission compared to 2023.

According to the records of the member schools of Ho Chi Minh City National University, most of them have an increase in the number of wishes or candidates registering for admission. Specifically, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology this year recorded over 17,000 candidates registering for admission to the school (double the number last year); University of Economics and Law has an increase of about 17% in the number of candidates registering and the total number of wishes increased by about 13%; University of Information Technology and International University have the same number of candidates registering as last year, but some also received a sharp increase in the number of candidates registering for some majors...

Master Pham Thai Son - Director of the Consulting and Admissions Center of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade said that according to temporary data, the number of wishes to enter the school this year is nearly 75,000, more than double that of last year (in 2023 it was nearly 36,000 wishes). Similarly, the number of candidates also increased nearly twice that of last year.

"With the above parameters, it is predicted that the admission score to the University of Industry and Trade based on high school graduation exam scores will increase by 1-2 points, ranging from 16 - 24.5," Mr. Son informed.
