As tensions spread in the Middle East, a series of international airlines have announced temporary suspension of flights to the region or adjusted flight routes to avoid affected airspace.
On the afternoon of August 14, responding to reporters from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, domestic airlines said they were not affected by the political tension in the Middle East.
According to Vietnam Airlines, some of its routes would shorten the flight time and save fuel if they flew over the Middle East. However, the airline has now changed its itinerary and taken detours to avoid potentially affected airspace. As a result, flight times are longer, passengers have to fly longer, and the airline spends more on fuel, but this does not affect its operating schedule.
Vietjet also informed that the airline currently does not operate flights to the Middle East or fly through the airspace of this region, so it is completely unaffected by the geopolitical context here.

Vietnamese airlines say they have not been affected by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
According to Reuters, many major airlines such as Germany's Lufthansa, Switzerland's Swiss Air, France's Air France... have extended their decision to temporarily suspend flights to the Middle East.
Many airlines from Greece, Algeria, Latvia, etc. have also canceled or not opened new flights to the Middle East in the coming days.
The national carrier of India has suspended and re-opened scheduled flights to and from the region until further notice.
