With his special voice, Thanh Duy has won many awards such as runner-up of Vietnam Idol 2008, champion of Let's Shine Together 2014, champion of Familiar Faces 2015... and is loved by the audience.

I am still very passionate about my job.

In the early days of his musical career, Thanh Duy found close friends who accompanied and shared with him on his journey to pursue an artistic career.

But over time, each person has their own goals, directions and chooses different paths.

Gradually losing people who listen and share, Thanh Duy becomes "closed" to relationships in the profession.

He confided: "Although I am an artist, I have a rather closed life, only working in my own circle, so sometimes I feel lonely", but above all, the young singer still harbors feelings: "I am only truly myself when I stand on stage".

Participating in the program "Anh trai vu ngan cong thorn", Thanh Duy said he believes that here there is a healthy competitive environment and interesting friends with suitable energy.

He excitedly shared his experience: "Through the program, I hope to expand my connections, find friends in the profession to work together and write music. BB Tran and I have never talked, we only know each other on social networks.

But when I met him, I found BB very cute and funny. Thien Minh is someone who understands me very well, and Rhymastic is someone I have the same energy with to comfortably joke around."

Thanh Duy expressed that he appreciates this opportunity and considers it a "springboard" to continue maintaining his professional performing career.

Diversified, non-stereotypical

Thanh Duy said that sometimes he felt disconnected from his own songs: "Before, the company supported me in everything like making music, choosing songs and releasing MVs...

But deep down, that's not what I wanted. I lost more and more of my voice in my productions, what I sang wasn't me."

Thanh Duy spent two years listening to himself, learning and determining what he wanted. In 2021, the song Tinh anh ban chieu was released. Although it had been carefully invested in before, when it appeared in "Anh trai vu ngan cong gai", Tinh anh ban chieu really broke through, reached a wide audience and was listed on a number of charts.

Sharing with Tuoi Tre, Thanh Duy said he wants to affirm himself as a colorful person, "not fixed on any image".

Previously, in the show Delilah Land, the singer of Centaur Heart surprised the audience with her drag queen image.

"I define my inner self, name that person, write music for them and introduce them to the public - Thanh Duy commented on the image he pursues - I will only live for the present, instead of thinking about the future".
