After nearly 10 years of working as a mail delivery employee, Ha Khanh Tuan, a postal worker at Thai Nguyen Province Post Office, has never felt the pressure of his job as it is now. Previously, he used to spend an average of 1.5 hours on receiving, moving and delivering a postal item or parcel, but now it takes less than 20 minutes.

Instead of having to wait for the postal staff to check the book, deliver the package and sign the book, Mr. Tuan only needs to use Dinh Dong - a specialized application on smartphones to scan the code to receive the postal item and then send it for delivery or use the same application to collect the customer's postal item and parcel and then send it to the post office.

All data about packages, routes, delivery and receipt times are recorded on the system and reported to specialized departments automatically and immediately.

Mr. Ha Khanh Tuan shared: With the digitalized postal and parcel delivery management application, my work productivity has increased by 50% compared to before. On average, I deliver and deliver 30-40 postal items and parcels per day in 4 residential groups of Tan Thinh Ward (Thai Nguyen City).

Along with the Ding Dong delivery application for postmen mentioned above, PacknSend information management software, TMS transportation management system, WMS warehouse management system, My Vietnam Post order creation and management application... are platforms that synchronize systems serving the comprehensive digital transformation process in production and business of Thai Nguyen Provincial Post Office.

For example, through the My Vietnam Post order management application, each month about 80% of the total number of orders are received and processed automatically by Thai Nguyen Provincial Post Office from customer delivery requests.

Ms. Le Thu Trang, an employee of the Planning - Business Department, Thai Nguyen Provincial Post Office, shared: In the province, there are regularly over 1,000 customers using the My Vietnam Post application to initiate transactions for delivering mail, parcels or looking up delivery routes.

With this application, customers only need to fill in the basic information of the package and then send an online delivery request to the order receiving department of the Provincial Post Office. The package will then be picked up by the staff in charge of the area and the delivery procedures will be completed quickly.

The entire process is also recorded, managed and coordinated by specialized applications connected to the Vietnam Post database. Each department and each stage will be given an account to record and coordinate transportation before delivery to the recipient.
