As a model new rural commune, Vu Di (Vinh Tuong district, Vinh Phuc) now has many spacious, clean roads and high-rise buildings with bright red tiled roofs.

Over the past years, the Party Committee, government and people of Vu Di commune (Vinh Tuong district, Vinh Phuc) have joined hands and focused on mobilizing and utilizing all resources for the task of completing the construction of a model rural commune with the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect and people benefit".

Vu Di Commune has an area of 3.78km2, located in the center of Vinh Tuong District (Vinh Phuc), with National Highway 2C running through it. This is a land rich in cultural, revolutionary and historical traditions, the hometown of two famous heroes Doi Can and Le Xoay - who have made great contributions to building and defending the country.

Vu Di has many colorful murals. The old, boring walls are now replaced by vivid images of the countryside and the country, contributing to beautifying the homeland's landscape. Up to now, the commune has been awarded a certificate of recognition for its model new rural area. The rural landscape has changed a lot, infrastructure has been invested in construction and renovation, the landscape is green - clean - beautiful.

100% of village roads, alleys and hamlets are concreted, have drainage ditches, and electric lighting in every corner. Vu Di commune now has high-rise buildings built close together, many houses have a spacious and modern appearance.

Household waste is directly collected and treated by the commune's environmental sanitation team. The public lighting system on the roads is completely new, ensuring the right standards, meeting the needs of use and convenient travel at night of the people. On some roads, traffic warning lights are also installed with solar panels, helping to save electricity while still being environmentally friendly.

People are actively applying 4.0 technology in trade and commerce. Most production and business households use QR code payment methods in addition to cash payments. Ms. Nguyen Thi Bao (58 years old) said that since her store applied QR code scanning, trading has become much more convenient, and revenue has also increased. "Customers who scan the code account for the majority, so it is easier for me to check inventory and compare daily revenue, and I don't have to worry about cash confusion," Ms. Bao said.

Vu Di Commune has directed to focus on prioritizing production development associated with restructuring the agricultural sector and shifting the rural economic structure. The whole commune has two main agricultural products: pumpkin and red-fleshed dragon fruit with a total planting area of over 22 hectares. In the photo, the dragon fruit garden is being cared for and pruned by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hien's wife to prepare for the new crop. The dragon fruit tree has brought the couple's family an income of about 500 million VND/year.

Security camera systems have covered all hamlets; public places and households are also covered by 3G, 4G; nearly 70% of adult citizens have online payment accounts; 100% of the population has electronic health records. The majority of households have attached address codes on digital map platforms, determining coordinates on GPS to combine with other convenient services such as epidemiological maps, disease-safe zone maps, tourism maps, education maps, etc.

Completing the model new rural construction program is one of the outstanding achievements that brought Vu Di commune a new turning point. Thanks to that, people's lives have been significantly improved, gradually making this locality one of the typical communes of Vinh Tuong district in particular and Vinh Phuc province in general.
