At the Conference, Mr. Ho Hong Hai - Deputy Director of the Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Information and Communications said that human rights are one of the issues that our Party and State always pay attention to, attach importance to and identify the propaganda work on human rights as a political task and a regular responsibility of the entire political system, in the short and long term.

Therefore, in recent times, the Party has issued many new policies to strengthen propaganda and education work for cadres, Party members and people so that everyone has a deeper understanding of the Party's viewpoints and the State's policies and laws on human rights.

"In 2024, the Department of Legal Affairs will organize two conferences to disseminate this field in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City," said Mr. Ho Hong Hai, emphasizing that the conference to disseminate and educate about human rights laws and policies is one of the regular tasks organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications to improve knowledge and skills on human rights for reporters, editors and information and communication managers.

Through knowledge, skills, understanding and professional activities, reporters, editors, and officials working in the field of information and communication can convey information to all levels of society, contributing to raising the understanding and awareness of the whole society.

According to Mr. Ho Hong Hai, the role of media and press is extremely important because media and press are not only a bridge to bring information to the public, but also a powerful tool to help raise awareness, educate about human rights and reflect the actual situation of implementing these rights.
