On the 10th of August, 2024, Ministry of Science and Technology Commemoration of Heroes who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation, building and protecting the Fatherland at the Cemetery of Information and Communications (ICT) veterans in Tân Biên district, Tây Ninh province.
The ceremony was chaired by the Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Mạnh Hùng, attended by Deputy Ministers Phạm Đức Long, Nguyễn Huy Dũng, Nguyen Thanh Lâm, Bùi Hoàng Phương. West Ninh.
The ceremony was also attended by representatives of the leadership and former leaders of the Ministry of ICT; Leaders of units under the Ministry; Provincial Commission, UBND, People's Council, departments, branches of Tây Ninh province and Tân Biên district, along with representatives of enterprises and entities operating in the field of ICT; Employees who are working and retired; Relatives and comrades of heroes are resting here.
The dedication ceremony was held in a solemn atmosphere to commemorate the 77th anniversary of Wounded Warriors Day, 79 years of Postal Tradition Day - now IT & ICT sector, 22 years of establishment of Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and 17 years of founding of Ministry of Information Technology.
With respect and devotion to the souls of heroes, on behalf of the Ministry of ICT & Information Technology, Minister Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng expressed his deep gratitude to the relatives of martyrs' families, people who have contributed to the revolution, colleagues in the field of ICT over time.
According to Minister Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng, every achievement and step forward of the industry today is forever engraved in the great work of our heroes.
Minister Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng shared that the ICT sector with one hand is digital technology to create material power, on the other hand media journalism awakens Vietnam's aspiration for might and prosperity to create spiritual strength, and Vietnam will fly up with those wings.
Minister Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng expressed his gratitude for the warm feelings and help of Party committees, authorities, Front and departments, Tây Ninh Provincial Corps, Tân Biên District who directed and coordinated with units of Vietnam Post Corporation, VNPT Group to take care of 249 martyrs' graves in a cemetery that is always decorated, warm, bright, clean and beautiful.
After the dedication ceremony at the ICT cemetery, the delegation also visited the Hill 82 Martyr's Cemetery in Tsai Ninh and paid a visit to the Traditional House of Posts and Information (R) at the Central Monument South.
Also at the Traditional House, on behalf of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Minister Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng also headed the Ministry of Education and Culture gave VND 250 million to the Tsai Ninh Provincial Reward Fund.
