The Ministry of Education and Training has assigned the Department of Quality Management to synthesize information and advise the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training on handling information related to the fact that Mr. Vuong Tan Viet, aka Venerable Thich Chan Quang, was not on the list of people awarded a high school diploma for supplementary cultural studies on June 6, 1989.
"However, because the incident originated from the doctoral degree granted by Hanoi Law University to Mr. Vuong Tan Viet, the information will mainly be collected by the Department of Higher Education. Currently, the Department of Quality Management is in the process of receiving information. After that, there will be a report to the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training," said a representative of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Previously, right after receiving conflicting information about Mr. Vuong Tan Viet being awarded a doctorate in just over 2 years, the Ministry of Education and Training also sent an official dispatch to Hanoi Law University requesting a report on the enrollment and training process for graduate student Vuong Tan Viet.
As reported by CAND Newspaper, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City has sent an official dispatch to the Government Committee for Religious Affairs regarding the verification of Mr. Vuong Tan Viet's high school diploma.
According to the verification results, Mr. Vuong Tan Viet's name was not on the list of candidates and the score sheet of the 1989 high school supplementary graduation exam of the Department of Education and Training; his name was not on the list of high school supplementary graduation certificates issued on June 6, 1989 of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City.
