On August 2, Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh reported to the Ministry of Planning and Investment on the plan for developing collective economy and cooperatives in 2025 in the province. In the first 6 months of 2024, the province had 11 newly established cooperatives, bringing the total number to 268 cooperatives with over 277,000 members.
Besides the positive aspects, many limitations in the development of cooperatives in Binh Dinh have also been pointed out by the locality, such as: small-scale models, not bold in investing and expanding; difficult access to capital and state policies; not focusing on developing quality human resources...
Thereby, Binh Dinh has proposed new development programs and solutions to enhance the core role of the cooperative economy. The province strives to develop 290 cooperatives (280,000 members) by 2025, of which 67 agricultural cooperatives effectively participate in chain linkage models; 5 typical agricultural cooperative models, raising the average income of cooperative workers to 59 million VND/member/year...
Therefore, Binh Dinh proposed a budget of nearly 7.9 billion VND to support the establishment of new cooperatives, strengthen organizations, and train and support the training of qualified young workers and cadres.
