The Vinh Thanh District Construction Planning Project was approved by the People's Committee of Binh Dinh Province in Decision No. 1495, dated April 26, including the entire administrative boundary of Vinh Thanh District with Vinh Thanh Town and 8 communes. The total planning area is nearly 717 km2.

According to the planning project, Vinh Thanh is a region for developing modern agriculture, forestry and fishery based on the formation of concentrated specialized production areas linking production with preservation, processing, branding and product consumption according to the value chain; developing eco-tourism associated with historical culture; developing mining industry. This is an area of ​​special importance in terms of landscape and environmental protection, sustainable development in the locality as well as the whole Binh Dinh province.

The population of Vinh Thanh district is currently about 30,921 people. It is forecasted to reach about 39,350 people by 2035; the urbanization rate is about 39%.

Mr. To Hieu Trung - Chairman of Vinh Thanh District People's Committee said that through this planning, Vinh Thanh District has an orientation to arrange development space, ensure synchronous connectivity, and maximize the potential and advantages of the locality. At the same time, overcome limitations, unleash resources for harmonious, effective, and sustainable development, creating the foundation and premise for Vinh Thanh to accelerate and develop.

The decision to invest in large-scale projects with large investment capital in the near future will contribute to promoting Vinh Thanh district to develop in the right direction of planning. In particular, the district focuses on investing in the following areas: infrastructure of Ta Suc industrial cluster to accelerate the attraction of industrial projects in production, manufacturing, processing, fuel industry; attracting investment in the field of high-tech agricultural development; developing eco-tourism, resorts associated with historical culture, service systems, trade combined with quality residential areas...

3 economic development zones

According to the plan, the entire Vinh Thanh district is divided into 3 economic development zones.

Sub-region I (central sub-region): Includes Vinh Thanh town and Vinh Quang and Vinh Hoa communes. This will be the cultural, political and comprehensive economic center of the district; develop urban areas, services, trade and be a hub for exchanges with neighboring localities; closely and comprehensively linked to the general development of the region. The sub-regional center is Vinh Thanh town; develop Vinh Quang commune to meet the standards of a type V urban area after 2035; develop and expand industrial clusters associated with the construction of raw material areas (cassava, large timber, livestock...).

Zone II (agricultural ecological zone): Includes Vinh Thuan and Vinh Hao communes. This is an agricultural and forestry development zone combined with the development of cassava and wood raw material areas for processing agricultural and forestry products; developing high-tech livestock farming, freshwater aquaculture associated with dams, developing eco-tourism associated with agricultural production; developing renewable energy (wind power, pumped storage hydropower).

Zone III (conservation and tourism zone): Includes Vinh Thinh, Vinh Hiep, Vinh Kim and Vinh Son communes. This is a zone for conserving natural forests and special-use forests, stabilizing the upstream protection environment; developing forest economy and combining the development of ecotourism, resorts, adventure tourism, and community tourism associated with the available natural advantages of the area.

By 2030, Vinh Thanh district strives to have 2 type V urban areas including Vinh Thanh town and 1 newly formed urban area, Vinh Quang urban area.

"Shaking hands" with 4 high-tech investors

At the announcement ceremony, Vinh Thanh District People's Committee organized a signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with 4 investors in the fields of high-tech agriculture, trade and services.

Accordingly, Vinh Thinh High-Tech Agriculture Joint Stock Company signed with the District People's Committee on the project of Laying and Pullet Farm (Vinh Thinh commune) with a total capital of 75 billion VND.

Hoa Tien Agricultural Company Limited signed with the District People's Committee to implement the High-tech Pig Farm project in Vinh Hoa commune with a total capital of 50 billion VND.

Saigon Construction Corporation signed with the District People's Committee to implement the project of the Commercial - Service Area along Kon River, Vinh Thanh town with a total capital of 50 billion VND.

Meanwhile, SCC Investment Joint Stock Company signed with the District People's Committee to implement the Ta Ma Eco-tourism Area project - Vinh Hiep commune with a total capital of 80 billion VND.

In recent years, Vinh Thanh district has invested resources and developed rapidly. In 2023, the growth rate of total product value reached 5.27%, average income per capita reached nearly 39.5 million VND, budget revenue reached 131% of the plan.

"Vinh Thanh district identifies implementing the local construction planning until 2035 as one of the very important tasks in this term," Mr. To Hieu Trung emphasized.
