Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy has just surveyed the location of the 1/2000 scale construction zoning plan for the urban, resort and sports area south of N2 road in Dien Chau district, belonging to the Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone.

The project was approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 579/QD-UBND dated March 18, 2024 on an area of ​​686.52 hectares. This is a mixed-use urban development area consisting of 4 sub-areas performing the main functions of Urban - Tourism - Services - Sports with a synchronous and modern social and technical infrastructure system; located in a key position at the northern gateway of the Southeast Economic Zone; a large-scale entertainment, cultural and social center of the region, serving the accommodation and social security needs of Dien Chau district, as well as serving the needs of the Industrial Parks in the North of the Southeast Economic Zone of Nghe An.

At the same time, this is a low-density ecological urban area associated with Cua Hien Sports Tourism Area, becoming a mixed-use urban area combining resort tourism in the Northeast of Nghe An province, aiming to reduce development pressure in the central urban area, while promoting socio-economic development and urban upgrading.

On August 8, the Provincial Party Secretary also inspected the site of the Tho Loc Industrial Park project (VSIP II). According to the report of the project investor, VSIP Nghe An Company Limited, there are currently about 10 secondary investors, with a land fund demand of about 150-200 hectares, who have been working to research and implement investment in Tho Loc Industrial Park (phase 1).

Of which, 4 investors have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on investment with an area of ​​over 120 hectares (2 investors have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on land handover in September 2024), the total investment is expected to be about 1 billion USD, expected to create jobs for about 50,000 local workers. It is expected that by the end of 2025, the occupancy rate of Tho Loc Industrial Park will be about 150 hectares/415.78 hectares of industrial land and by the end of 2026, the project will be fully occupied.

According to the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone, compensation and site clearance for 329.29 hectares have been completed; land lease (phase 1) with an area of ​​69,374.6 m2 has been completed; 170.71 hectares (of which 45.7 hectares have had land recovery decisions) have not been completed; in which the difficulties and problems are concentrated on 151.37 hectares of the area of ​​79 households that have not signed the inventory and counting (15.71 hectares), the remaining households have signed the inventory documents but have not yet had a compensation and support plan (128.76 hectares) and the Tunnel Brick Factory (6.9 hectares).

Present at the industrial park site in Dien Tho commune, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy listened to a report on the progress, difficulties and obstacles in site clearance related to 151.37 hectares of Tho Loc industrial park project; as well as the industrial park's drainage system project.

In particular, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized the view that relevant levels, sectors and localities need to work together with industrial park investors to carry out site clearance on schedule, provide electricity, and level land... to attract secondary investors.
