Former US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley said Donald Trump should focus on attracting voters instead of attacking Kamala Harris on "frivolous" topics.
According to The Hill, on August 13, former US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley gave an interview to Fox News. Here, Ms. Haley said that the Republican Party and Mr. Donald Trump should stop "complaining" about Ms. Kamala Harris becoming the Democratic candidate, and instead focus on winning at the polls. "The Republican Party should not be surprised about having to run against Ms. Harris, the main opponent has always been her from the beginning. There is no way President Joe Biden can continue to run in such a health condition. Everyone needs to stop complaining about this issue, we all know the Democratic candidate will be Ms. Harris," Ms. Haley said. The former US Ambassador also agreed with Mr. Trump's comment that Ms. Harris was avoiding interviews, but affirmed that this was not a problem for the Republican campaign.

"Ms. Harris will not do any interviews, and will prolong this situation as long as possible, which is their right. But that does not mean we cannot talk about 'what Ms. Harris thinks'. We need to focus on that point," Ms. Haley analyzed. Ms. Haley emphasized that Mr. Trump could absolutely win the November election, but the former US President needs to shift the focus of his campaign events from "Ms. Harris's fake crowd" to real policies to connect with voters. "Our chances of winning are not small, but Mr. Trump's campaign needs to focus on potential voter groups. Focus on suburban women, college graduates, conservative Democrats and independents. They need a candidate who shows concern for real issues, like housing prices, inflation and education," Ms. Haley said.Vietnamnet.vn
