According to IDC's latest report, in Q2, Apple ranked first with 12. 3 million iPads shipped (35. 8% of the market). Exports increased by 18. 2% but the company's market share fell from 37% (Q2 2023) to 35. 8%.
However, the launch of Apple's new iPad Pro with a tandem OLED display from LG and Samung did not bring much difference in sales.
South Korea's Samsung followed with 6. 9 million Galaxy tablets shipped, accounting for 20. 1% of the global tablet market - up from 18. 6% in the same period last year.
Third and fourth respectively were Lenovo with 2. 5 million tablets shipped (up 16. 7% compared to 2023) and Huawei with 2. 3 million exports (accounting for 6. 8% market share).
In fifth place was Xiaomi, which shipped nearly 2 million tablets (up 94. 7% - almost double the number of shipments in Q2), accounting for 5. 8% market share.
