According to the latest report from IDC, in the second quarter, Apple ranked first when it shipped 12.3 million iPads (accounting for 35.8% of the market). Shipments increased by 18.2% but the company's market share decreased from 37% (Q2/2023) to 35.8%.

Although Apple has just launched a new iPad Pro product with LG and Samsung's tandem OLED screen, it has not made much difference in sales.
South Korea's Samsung followed with 6.9 million Galaxy tablets shipped, accounting for 20.1% of the global tablet market - up from 18.6% in the same period last year. Although it did not launch any new tablet models, Samsung has come up with effective strategies that contributed to improving sales.
Lenovo ranked third and fourth, respectively, with 2.5 million tablets shipped (up 16.7% compared to 2023) and Huawei with 2.3 million shipped (accounting for 6.8% market share).
Xiaomi finished in fifth place, shipping nearly 2 million tablets (up 94.7% - nearly double the number of shipments in Q2), capturing 5.8% market share.
