On August 9, the 7th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Can Tho City, term 2024 - 2029, elected 45 members to the Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union of Can Tho City. At the same time, the delegates directly elected Mr. Nguyen Tu Thien to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of Can Tho City, term 7.

Mr. Nguyen Tu Thien (born in 1990, hometown Hau Giang) has a doctorate in Party building and state administration, and a high level of political education.

From September 2023 to present, Mr. Nguyen Tu Thien has held the position of Deputy Secretary of Can Tho City Youth Union, term XI, 2022 - 2027.

Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy - member of the Standing Committee, head of the Central Youth Union's Youth Solidarity Committee, permanent vice president of the Vietnam Youth Union - congratulated and highly appreciated the results that Can Tho youth achieved in the past term.

Typically, models and activities to accompany and support young entrepreneurs such as the model "Digitizing OCOP products, youth startup products" help members, young people, people, and tourists easily find information about startup products...

Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy also expressed his hope that in the new term, Can Tho youth will continue to promote the pioneering and creative role of youth, promote digital transformation to attract youth and build a youth class as the core force in the activities and movements of the Association and Can Tho youth movement.

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Tran Viet Truong - Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee - said that he always puts his trust in young people and gives them many important responsibilities, but also requires them to strive to become new young people with good ideals and qualities.
