(Dan Tri) - The 8 elevated stations of the Nhon - Cau Giay metro line have murals highlighting the identity of each locality. The stations have similar architecture, but are still different in artistic details.
According to the Hanoi Urban Railway Project Management Board (MRB), the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro line is designed not only to serve transportation purposes, but also to be a landscape and architectural highlight for the western area of the city. Of these, the eight elevated stations have similarities in architecture, but are still different in artistic details. In the photo is a motif painting at station S1 (Nhon). Because this station is located next to the University of Industry, the artist designed images that evoke high technology such as nuclear, magnetic waves... Station S2 (Minh Khai) has an image of gears symbolizing Tu Liem Industrial Park located next to the station. Station S3 (Phu Dien) uses tree motifs, reminding that this is an area that grows grapefruit and many other types of fruit trees. Station S4 (Cau Dien) is located near the Nhue River so it uses water surface motifs. Station S5 (Le Duc Tho) has an image of a pole vaulter, reminding passengers that My Dinh Stadium and Sports Complex are located near this station. Station S6 (National University) with images of languages, symbolizing the languages taught at the University of Foreign Languages (Vietnam National University, Hanoi). Station S7 (Ha Pagoda) with the image of a traditional Vietnamese pagoda. Station S8 (Cau Giay) is located next to Thu Le Zoo so it is designed with images of wild animals. According to the representative of the Urban Railway Project Management Board, each elevated station has its own image to promote and honor the local culture. The design of each station has been approved along with the overall design documents of the project. Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro map (Photo: MRB).
