According to information from the National Digital Transformation Agency (Ministry of Information and Communications), Da Nang has just become the fourth locality to have a policy to support the activities of the Community Digital Technology Team, after the three provinces of Yen Bai, Ha Tinh and Binh Duong.

Specifically, according to Resolution 36 newly issued by the People's Council of Da Nang City, from August 10, 2024 to December 31, 2025, the city budget will support the activities of the Community Digital Technology Team and Project 06 in villages and residential groups in Da Nang with a maximum of 3 million VND/team/year.

In Yen Bai and Ha Tinh, each Community Digital Transformation Team in these two localities has monthly support levels of VND500,000 and VND600,000 respectively. Meanwhile, in Binh Duong, since the beginning of this year, members of the Community Digital Technology Team have been supported with operating expenses at a rate of VND60,000/person/month.

The Community Digital Technology Team model is one of the initiatives of the Ministry of Information and Communications, with the goal of mobilizing the entire population to participate in propagating and disseminating digital transformation knowledge and skills. Piloted nationwide since March 2022, the Community Digital Technology Teams have been effective, contributing to the overall achievements of the national digital transformation in recent times.

Specifically, during the pilot period, members of the community digital technology team went to every alley, knocked on every door, and guided each person to know, understand, and implement 5 basic digital skills including: Using online public services, online shopping, online payment, protecting yourself in cyberspace, and using other digital platforms depending on local characteristics.

In particular, with the project "Perfecting the organizational apparatus, enhancing state management capacity and law enforcement on digital transformation from the central to local levels by 2025, with a vision to 2030" (project 1690) approved by the Prime Minister at the end of last year, the concept of "Community Digital Technology Group" was officially recognized, and its members are members of the Digital Transformation Network, with the Ministry of Information and Communications as the general coordinating agency.

Also in Project 1690, the Prime Minister clearly stated the requirement: "At the local level, promote the effectiveness of the activities of the Community Digital Technology Team, and promote the activities of the Community Digital Technology Team in the direction of socialization".

According to statistics from the National Digital Transformation Agency, up to now, 100% of provinces and cities across the country have established community digital technology teams in each village, residential group, residential area, hamlet, and residential hamlet, with a total of 93,524 community digital technology teams and 457,820 members.

Community Digital Technology Team is included in the Digital Transformation Network In the newly approved Project, the Prime Minister has identified the viewpoint of forming a widespread Digital Transformation Network from the Central to the grassroots level, including the Community Digital Technology Team.
