The existing Cat Lai ferry connects Thu Duc City (HCMC) and Nhon Trach District (Dong Nai) |
- Cat Lai - Nhon Trach route : Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai will expand and increase the operating capacity at Cat Lai ferry terminal connecting Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City) and Nhon Trach District (Dong Nai). After crossing the ferry, passengers will follow the existing road DT 769 to Long Thanh airport in about 60 minutes. The advantage of this option is that the road is convenient due to the existing traffic infrastructure and is suitable for passengers in Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City) while waiting for the Cat Lai bridge to be built.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport said that the Department is currently working with relevant units to review and evaluate the current status of infrastructure, routes, ports, inland waterways, and inland waterway vehicles so that they can be deployed soon to meet the transportation needs of passengers right after Long Thanh airport is put into use.
