Implementing Resolution No. 127, in recent times, the People's Committee of Ke Sach district has directed specialized sectors to guide and deploy legal documents and directive documents related to environmental protection and solid waste. Inter-sectoral coordination in state management and solutions to ensure the supply of clean water for domestic use; thoroughly handling the collection, transportation, and solid waste that meets environmental standards have also been focused on and implemented. In Ke Sach district, there are currently 17 centralized water supply stations (14 of which are managed and operated by the Soc Trang Provincial Center for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation, the remaining 3 stations are managed by Soc Trang Water Supply Joint Stock Company) and 3 networked systems, centralized water supply works have been invested from 2003 to present. Design capacity from 480 - 2,400m3 /day and night, water supply stations are invested and built from capital sources of national target programs, WB capital, and community fund for natural disaster prevention and control.

From October 2019 to present, the collection, transportation and treatment of household waste in the district has been carried out by the district traffic works management and maintenance team (collection unit), the Department of Agriculture and Environment is responsible for inspecting and supervising the implementation process.

There are currently 3 landfills in operation in the district, including: Ke Sach town (Phu Tay hamlet, An My commune), Dai Hai (Mang Ca hamlet, Dai Hai commune) and Nhon My (An Thanh hamlet, An Lac Tay commune). In 2018, the district received investment from the Department of Natural Resources and Environment (now the Department of Agriculture and Environment) to install an inter-commune incinerator at Nhon My landfill, with a capacity of 600kg/hour.

However, the district is currently facing certain difficulties, the landfills have been operating for many years, have degraded, there is a lot of waste left, the main treatment technology is open burial, spraying biological products, burning and the incinerator is severely damaged. Therefore, currently 3 landfills in the district are overloaded, there is still a lot of waste left in the landfills, generating odors and insects, leading to complaints from voters.

Faced with the above difficulties, the District People's Committee proposed to consider supporting environmental career funding to carry out projects to renovate landfills, repair garbage storage houses, incinerators, drainage systems - landfills in Nhon My commune, Ke Sach district; support funding to overcome environmental pollution at landfills; support specialized vehicles for transporting household waste, etc.

Comrade Ly Rotha acknowledged the district's efforts in implementing environmental indicators; at the same time, he noted that Ke Sach district should strengthen propaganda and education in the coming time to raise people's awareness of the responsibility to maintain hygiene, protect the environment, and use water resources economically, considering this a responsibility of the whole society; encourage the application and transfer of technological solutions for waste treatment and environmental pollution treatment. Ke Sach district needs to strengthen leadership and direction on natural resource and environmental management, environmental protection work needs to focus all resources among the people in combination with budget capital to meet environmental protection requirements. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged the opinions and recommendations of Ke Sach district related to environmental protection work...
