Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Ministry of Information and Communications to VTC Station for its outstanding achievements contributing to the development of the information and communications industry.
Promoting the application of new television technology and promoting competition is VTC's contribution.
In his congratulatory speech to VTC, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung acknowledged and highly appreciated the station's contributions to the Vietnamese television sector.
According to the Minister, when talking about Vietnam's television sector, it is impossible not to mention VTC Digital Television. VTC not only promotes the application of new television technology, but also promotes competition in the television sector. When talking about VTC, it is impossible not to mention the Multimedia Communications Corporation (VTC); when talking about VTC, it is necessary to mention the courage and desire for innovation of the late General Director Thai Minh Tan, who led VTC to separate from Vietnam Television to follow its own path in digital technology.
The Minister said that when the entire television industry at that time still considered analog technology as a "safe zone", VTC had a desire to develop digital terrestrial technology. That desire, combined with the vision of the head of the Post and Telecommunications sector at that time, Minister Do Trung Ta, gave birth to "VTC Digital Television Station".
The Minister pointed out that thanks to the determination to move straight to digital technology of generations of leaders of the Postal sector since the 90s of the last century, Vietnam's telecommunications has achieved the position and potential it has today. Also thanks to that vision, the Vietnam Television sector has a pioneering unit that chose digital technology as the reason for its birth and development. Minister Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized that this breakthrough of VTC is the basis for the Prime Minister to approve the Project "Digitization of terrestrial television transmission and broadcasting by 2020" to modernize Vietnam Television.

Sharing about the 10-year journey and ups and downs of VTC, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung said that for VTC, the first 10 years were 10 years of starting a business. During these first 10 years, VTC developed rapidly, becoming a driving force for the development of digital television in Vietnam. Since then, VTC has entered the top group of television stations. 10 years later, when VTC separated from VTC Corporation, although it encountered many difficulties, it overcame them and continued to be a major television station in the country. This was a miracle.
The Minister hopes that in the next 10 years, VTC people will create a new page, inherit the past, and develop the future. VTC people "Let's start with a big dream, a big mission will always have the energy and guidance of Heaven and Earth".
VTC was born in the first Innovation of the Information and Communications industry. So VTC should be reborn in the second Innovation of the Information and Communications industry.

The Minister affirmed that the Ministry of Information and Communications believes in the future of VTC Digital Television Station, believes in the leadership of Voice of Vietnam (VOV) towards VTC Station, believes in VTC's tradition of innovation and creativity, and believes in VTC staff.
The Ministry of Information and Communications is always the first place that VTC needs to look for in terms of state management of radio and television. The Ministry of Information and Communications will resolve difficulties and problems as well as provide orientations and policy mechanisms for the development of VTC.
Established on August 19, 2004 with 50 staff and reporters, VTC Digital Television Editorial Board is located in VTC Multimedia Corporation to apply and test digital technology in television broadcasting.
Over the past 20 years, the "waves" of VTC Digital Television Station (VTC Station) have become familiar to millions of viewers.
VTC has become a brand, a cultural image, a belief, and a pride of a national television station in the hearts of the Vietnamese people.
VTC will continue with its pioneering mission of bringing digital television "waves" to reach out strongly thanks to quick access to modern television technology.
Based on the planning for national press management and development until 2025, on June 2, 2015, the Prime Minister signed a decision to transfer VTC Digital Television Station from the Ministry of Information and Communications to the Voice of Vietnam (VOV). This is an important milestone in the historical journey of VTC Station when it officially belongs to the national key press agency.
Under the common roof of VOV, VTC continues to develop steadily with its position and role as a major television station with national coverage, both carrying out the task of propagating the policies and guidelines of the Party and State, and continuing to create an increasingly deep and wide influence in the hearts of the audience. /.
