Implementing the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister in Resolution No. 46/NQ-CP dated March 8, 2025 on the regular Government meeting in February 2025 and Directive 05/CT-TTg dated March 1, 2025 on increasing the scale of the credit program for the forestry and fishery sectors to over VND 100,000 billion, on the afternoon of April 15, 2025, the State Bank informed about the implementation of this program with some new points.

Specifically, the scope and subjects of the Credit Program for the forestry and fishery sector according to Official Dispatch No. 5631/NHNN-TD dated July 14, 2023 of the State Bank will be expanded into the Credit Program for the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector. The loan subjects are customers with projects/plans serving production and business activities in the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector. The program will be implemented until the loan turnover reaches VND 100,000 billion (according to the registration level of commercial banks).

Accordingly, there are 15 banks participating in this program, including: Agribank, BIDV, VietinBank, Vietcombank, LPBank, Sacombank, MB, ACB, Nam A Bank, OCB, Eximbank, Vietbank, SHB, BVBank, HDBank. The State Bank requires these commercial banks to monitor and compile statistics on the results of the program implementation and be responsible for the accuracy of the reported data; at the same time, be responsible for the implementation in accordance with the commitments of this program, regarding the subjects and interest rates.

In addition to the 15 commercial banks mentioned above, the State Bank also encourages other commercial banks in need to participate in the VND100,000 billion credit program for lending to agriculture, forestry and fisheries.
