The Ministry of Education and Training announced the enrollment of students to study under the Agreement in Cuba. Accordingly, there are 15 full scholarships for university training, with 8 quotas for medicine and 7 quotas for other majors trained at educational institutions under the management of the Cuban Ministry of Higher Education in the 2024-2025 school year.

The training period is from 5 to 6 years, including 1 year of preparatory language study. The Cuban government exempts tuition fees, provides health insurance and arranges accommodation according to Cuban regulations. The Vietnamese government provides round-trip airfare, travel expenses, passport and visa fees and subsistence allowance according to current regulations for scholarship students studying in Cuba under the Agreement.

The language of study is Spanish. Applicants who do not know Spanish will be arranged to take a 1-year Spanish preparatory course in Cuba before entering the major. After that, the applicant must pass the Spanish proficiency test, and attend and pass the entrance exam for the major (depending on the specific requirements of the training institution) to be officially accepted into the major.

Admission subjects are: High school graduates in 2024, with high school academic results of 7.0 or higher, who have participated in the national team to compete in the International Olympics and won gold medals, silver medals, bronze medals; participated in the national excellent student selection exam, national science and technology competition and won first, second, third prizes, and have university admission results in 2024 when completing school procedures;

First-year students of Vietnamese universities, colleges, and colleges (full-time system) with results of 3 years of high school and first year of university of 7.0 or higher (on a 10-point scale or equivalent).

Application deadline is August 20.
