The event attracted the participation of 14 units from art troupes, cultural centers of 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta and Can Tho University.

Mr. Le Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of Tra Vinh Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of Tra Vinh Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, emphasized that the "Singing and dating of 9 rivers" festival is a regional cultural event, held every two years and rotated in provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region. This year, the festival aims to celebrate major national anniversaries, especially the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2024) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024).
The festival is not only a place to honor the traditional cultural values of the nation, but also an opportunity to introduce unique cultural and artistic activities associated with the life and production of people in the region. This event also aims to promote the image of people and culture of Tra Vinh province in particular and the provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region in general to domestic and international friends.
The festival "The Voice of the Nine Rivers" is also an opportunity for artists, artisans, actors and musicians to meet, exchange, learn and develop expertise in editing, staging and performing arts. This contributes to orienting local cultural and artistic activities, preserving and promoting unique traditional cultural forms of the region.
With the theme "Convergence of the Nine Dragons Land", participating units performed performances praising the Party, Uncle Ho, the love for the homeland and the solidarity of the Vietnamese people. The festival also honored the achievements in building and developing the country, while introducing typical and unique traditional cultural features of the provinces and cities in the region.
In addition to the performances, the units also participated in a photo exhibition reflecting the working life and production, achievements in protecting, building and developing the country of each locality. The cultural beauty of the people and homeland of the Mekong Delta in the fields of economy, culture, society and national defense - security were also honored at the exhibition.
The 19th "Singing rendezvous of 9 rivers" festival will take place from August 6 to 9 at Tra Vinh Provincial Convention Center.
