To date, many more provinces and cities have officially announced the 2024 school year calendar.

According to Dan Tri reporters, Ho Chi Minh City and Khanh Hoa are the localities with the earliest school start time, with first graders returning to school on August 19. Most provinces let first graders return to school on August 22.

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has stipulated that first graders in this locality will return to school on August 19. Students in other grades in Khanh Hoa province will return to school on August 26. The school year will begin on September 5.

This schedule is similar to the school year schedule announced by Ho Chi Minh City on August 8.

For Khanh Hoa education sector, holidays and Tet holidays are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code and annual guidance documents of the Central Government and the Provincial People's Committee.

In Ninh Binh , students will return to school on August 29, except for first graders who will return to school one week earlier (August 22).

The new school year starts on September 5 and the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year will officially begin on September 6 and end on January 14, 2025.

Students start semester II from January 16, 2025 and complete the program, ending the school year before May 31, 2025.

Holidays are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code and annual guidance documents of competent authorities.

Similarly, first graders in Quang Ngai province will return to school on August 22. Students in other grades will return to school on August 29. The entrance exam for grade 10 in the 2025-2026 school year is scheduled to take place from June 5-7, 2025. The 2025 high school graduation exam is scheduled to take place over two days (June 26-27, 2025).

Holidays are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code and annual guidelines.

The earliest school opening day in Yen Bai province is August 29. For grade 1, the earliest school opening day is August 22. For educational institutions that organize Vietnamese language teaching for ethnic minority children before entering grade 1; The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training to guide the time for teaching Vietnamese to ensure compliance with Circular 23/2023/TT-BGDDT dated January 11, 2023 of the Minister of Education and Training.

The People's Committee of Soc Trang province requires all levels of education to return to school at least 1 week before the opening day. The school year will end no later than May 30, 2025.

Holidays, New Year's Day, Lunar New Year; Khmer people's holidays and New Year's Day are implemented according to the general regulations of the Labor Code and annual guidelines. For Lunar New Year, students will be off from January 27, 2025 (December 28) to February 8, 2025 (January 11).

Thus, including Saturdays and Sundays before and after, students in Soc Trang province have 16 days off for Tet.

The Department of Education and Training of Hai Duong province submitted to the Provincial People's Committee the framework for the 2024-2025 school year. The first day of school for preschool is August 28; for primary school is August 22. For other levels, it is August 29. The official time will wait for the Provincial People's Committee to issue a decision.
