On August 9, the Inspection Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee issued a notice on reviewing and proposing disciplinary action against a number of party members.

Specifically, disciplinary action in the form of expulsion from the Party was taken against comrade Truong Thanh Phong, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and former General Director of the Southern Food Corporation.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Inspection Commission, comrade Truong Thanh Phong violated what party members are not allowed to do; he is responsible for violations in the management and use of the land at 132 Ben Van Don, Ward 6, District 4.

The Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Inspection Commission has disciplined and expelled from the Party comrade Nguyen Hong Phu, former Party Secretary, former Director, former Chairman of the Board of Members of Phu Rieng Rubber One Member Co., Ltd., former member of the Party Executive Committee of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group, former Deputy General Director of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group.

The reason is that comrade Nguyen Hong Phu violated the leadership, management and operation of the Company and was sentenced to prison by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court for the crime of "Intentionally violating State regulations on economic management, causing serious consequences".

Along with that, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Inspection Commission disciplined by expelling from the Party comrade Nguyen Quang Thong, former member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Youth Union, former Secretary of the Southern Party Committee of the Central Youth Union, and former Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper.

The Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Inspection Commission determined that comrade Nguyen Quang Thong violated the rules that party members are not allowed to do; in his leadership, direction, and management work, he caused waste and loss of state assets related to land plot No.

The Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Inspection Commission also disciplined and expelled from the Party comrade Do Cao Dai, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell and former Deputy Director of the West Saigon Branch of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam.

Comrade Do Cao Dai violated the things that party members are not allowed to do; violated banking activities in assessing and approving loan applications, leading to causing damage to the Vietnam Investment and Development Bank West Saigon Branch.
