On the afternoon of April 14, Vinh University sent a report to the Ministry of Education and Training, the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Committee of Nghe An province and related units about the incident of a falling railing that caused 3 female students to be hospitalized.

According to Vinh University, at around 9:30 a.m. on April 14, an incident occurred at the Elementary, Middle and High School of Pedagogical Practice, Vinh University. Accordingly, a railing frame from the 4th floor of building A6 fell into the school yard, hitting a group of students standing below, injuring 3 female students in class 9B (including VKQ; NNHTr and N.Ph.Gi.T).

After the incident, the school promptly took the students to the hospital for emergency treatment. Of the three injured students, VKQ is being monitored for head injuries and is being treated at Nghe An General Hospital; the other two students suffered less serious injuries and are being treated at Vinh City General Hospital.

"Vinh University; Primary School, Middle School and Pedagogical Practice High School quickly arrived at the scene, informed and coordinated with the authorities to work and soon clarify the incident," the school's report stated.

For the most seriously injured female student, Nghe An General Hospital said that doctors performed brain injury surgery on her. "The broken skull bone penetrated the brain's blood vessels. Currently, the patient's vital signs are stable, we are continuing to monitor and treat the patient," the surgeon said.

At Vinh City General Hospital, female student NNHTr. - 1 of the 3 students hit by the falling railing is also being treated and cared for by doctors. Due to blood loss, shock and an open wound on the head of about 10cm, after undergoing surgery, Tr. is conscious but still unable to talk.

Of the three female victims, after being taken to Vinh City General Hospital, one was slightly injured and was discharged. Q., who suffered the most serious injury, was transferred to Nghe An General Hospital for surgery.
