In the first 3 months of the year, the work of disseminating and implementing the Party's resolutions and directives has been carried out seriously and extensively. Organizational and personnel work was focused on, ensuring that the administrative apparatus at all levels operated effectively and efficiently. The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee issued a decision to end the operation of the City Cadre Health Care and Protection Board and transfer the task of protecting and caring for the health of city cadres; issued a decision to establish the City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Board, and decided to dissolve 4 grassroots Party organizations; established 7 grassroots Party cells after merging, consolidating, and reorganizing according to Resolution 18-NQ/TW; established the Party Committee of My Hoa Hung Secondary and High School. Patriotic emulation movements, focusing on the "Skillful Mass Mobilization" emulation movement, and implementing grassroots democracy continued to be promoted. Inspection and supervision work was strengthened, contributing to preventing and stopping negative manifestations, and consolidating people's trust in the Party's leadership.

In the first months of 2025, the city's socio-economic situation improved in all areas. The city's economy continued to maintain stable growth, focusing on developing advantageous industries, promoting investment, and creating a favorable environment for business development. Key programs and projects were accelerated, contributing to the completion of infrastructure and enhancing the competitiveness of the local economy. “Trade and services continued to be vibrant, total retail sales of goods increased by 13.35%; revenue from food and accommodation services increased by 17.48% over the same period; industrial production value increased by 11.41% over the same period. Continue to restructure the agricultural sector towards urban agriculture, associated with eco-tourism, contributing to the development of tourism - services and environmental protection, adapting to climate change. In particular, although not included in the province's roadmap, the city has strived to complete the targets, criteria, and proposals and has been recognized by the province as My Khanh and My Hoa Hung communes meeting advanced new rural standards" - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Long Xuyen City Tran Minh Duc said.

In the field of culture and society, the City Party Committee pays special attention to improving the material and spiritual life of the people. Social security policies are implemented synchronously and effectively, ensuring care for policy beneficiaries and people in difficult circumstances. "The city completed the Program to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses 3 months ahead of the city and province's plan, and 9 months ahead of the Central Government's plan. Thereby, completing the construction and repair of 60 houses, with a total cost of over 4.7 billion VND from socialized funds, not using the 5% savings from the local budget in 2024 and proactively registering not to receive support from the province so that the province can focus on supporting more difficult localities.
