Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy listened to a report on the implementation of the Work Plan of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library.

Reporting at the meeting, Ms. Ninh Thi Thu Huong, Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library, said that immediately after Decision No. 615/QD-BVHTTDL was issued, the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library reviewed, synthesized, adjusted, supplemented, and developed the 2025 Work Plan based on the Work Plan of the 3 units approved by the Ministry's leaders.

Accordingly, in 2025, the Department will carry out 79 tasks, including: 05 tasks of drafting legal documents; 32 tasks of implementing Projects, Plans, and Programs approved by the Government, Prime Minister, and Minister; 19 tasks of propagating the celebration of major holidays, important political events of the country, and regional mass cultural and artistic activities. Along with that are specialized tasks in the fields of Grassroots Culture, Family, and Library.

In particular, in April and May 2025, the Department will focus on three key tasks: Awarding the Reading Culture Development Award; Sen Village Singing Festival; Book Promotion and Introduction Festival.

In her speech, Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy highly appreciated the efforts and proactiveness of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library in issuing a complete and synchronous system of documents to serve the management of activities.

The Deputy Minister requested the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library to review all tasks related to the development of Decrees and Circulars such as: Decree on family work; Circular on economic and technical standards for services providing information resources at libraries; information support on demand for research and specialized management; bibliography compilation; display and exhibition of books, newspapers, library materials; organization of cultural events serving lifelong learning and activities to develop reading culture; Circular on economic and technical standards for services developing digital libraries, shared information resources, open information resources, and inter-library connections in the country and abroad.

The Deputy Minister also noted that, in organizing activities to celebrate major national holidays and other propaganda activities, the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library needs to ensure its role as the focal agency to issue plans, and at the same time closely coordinate with units and localities for the most effective implementation./.
