Dak Lak province currently has more than 494,537 young people, accounting for about 25.8% of the province's population. Ethnic minority youth have 135,008 people (accounting for 27.3%). In the 2019 - 2024 term, the work of the Association and the youth movement has achieved many positive results. Notably, the movement "I love my Fatherland" has been widely deployed, has strong appeal and spread in the lives of young people, encouraging, urging, and calling on a large number of young people to participate; activities to support young people to participate in economic development effective implementation

The most prominent is the Vietnamese Youth Volunteer for the Community activity, which has many innovative contents, effective methods, close to the practical needs of the locality and unit, attracting a large number of members and young people to participate such as: " Winter Volunteer", "Spring Volunteer", "March Border Month" programs...

Activities of visiting, giving gifts, implementing social security projects and tasks, improving the quality of life of the people were actively participated by members and youth. Specifically: during the term, 5,112 Tet gifts were given to the people; 400 gifts were given to young workers; 10 Charity houses and 1 kindergarten class were handed over; 220 scholarships were awarded; 10 computers were given; 2,100 people were examined and given medicine; 200m of rural roads were built... the total cost of the above activities was over 6.4 billion VND...

Organized medical examinations, health consultations and provided free medicine to more than 88,000 people; gave more than 2,450 gifts to young people, policy households, and families in difficult circumstances worth about 17 million VND...

Coordinated the organization of 10 peak day activities "Youth volunteers join hands to build new countryside" and the "Youth volunteers Green Summer" campaign. Repaired 273 km of rural roads, built 35.6 km of rural road lighting works worth 1 billion 827 million VND; repaired 167 houses, built 39 new charity houses worth over 2.8 billion VND; built 42 volleyball courts and 31 playgrounds for children worth over 1.4 billion VND...

Coordinated the organization of more than 512 environmental sanitation campaigns; more than 102,000 youth members participated in " Volunteer Saturday ", " Green Sunday "; built 174.7 km of flower streets worth over 800 million VND; built 26.48 km of street murals worth 525 million VND; carried out youth projects on 176 streets in civilized urban areas with the criteria of " Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful - Civilized - Safe "; planted and cared for more than 778,000 trees.

During the term, 92,610 new members were developed, bringing the total number of members in the province to 356,066 members, the youth solidarity rate reached 71.9%. Introduced jobs to 8,736 young people; Introduced 63,537 advanced members for the Youth Union to consider and admit.

With the slogan of action "Youth of all ethnic groups in Dak Lak province: Patriotism - Solidarity - Creativity - Volunteerism - Identity - Development", in the 2024 - 2029 term, the Vietnam Youth Union strives to: Support 400,000 members and young people to participate in volunteer activities organized by the association's chapters at all levels; support 80 innovative start-up projects of young people to be connected with businesses, venture capital funds or receive investment support from appropriate funding sources; 240,000 young people to access digital capacity building activities; 20,000 young people to be consulted and introduced to jobs; develop 80,000 new members...

The congress consulted and elected 44 members to join the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union for the 9th term, 2024-2029; consulted and elected a delegation of 18 members to attend the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union. Mr. Y Le Pas Tor was re-elected as Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union for the 9th term, 2024-2029.

Speaking at the congress, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Xuan Hieu acknowledged and commended the achievements of cadres, members and youth of Dak Lak province in the 2019-2024 term. At the same time, he requested that the provincial Youth Union chapters continue to effectively implement the movement "I love my Fatherland" with specific solutions, suitable to the situation, socio-economic development and legitimate needs of young people; innovate the content and methods of operation of the association, focusing on digital transformation, organizing activities to create an environment for members and young people to propose initiatives, creative ideas, and apply technology to actual production; pay special attention to expanding the solidarity front, gathering young people; promote the role of young people in all fields, making the work of the association and the youth movement in Dak Lak increasingly develop.

At the congress, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Ngoc Nghi emphasized that over the past time, the Provincial Party Committee and Government have always paid attention to youth work, creating conditions for the province's youth movement to develop more and more. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee believes and expects that the work of the association and the provincial youth movement in the new term will continue to make stronger and more comprehensive progress; together with the Party Committee, the Government and the people of all ethnic groups in the province, successfully implement the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress, building the homeland of Dak Lak to become more and more prosperous and civilized.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union awarded emulation flags to 2 units; awarded certificates of merit to 4 groups and 13 individuals; the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 5 groups and 4 individuals; the Provincial Vietnam Youth Union awarded certificates of merit to 7 groups and 18 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of the union and youth movements.
