In many localities, people donate land to build inter-village and inter-commune roads, contribute money to build public works, preserve the common landscape, organize spiritual and cultural activities... to create living space for rural areas.
Creating a livable rural space
Coming to Long Dat district at this time, many people cannot help but be surprised by the changes in the new rural communes. The village roads full of potholes and muddy in the rainy season have become spacious and straight, making it easier for people to travel and transport agricultural products thanks to the new rural program. Both sides of the road are also decorated with colorful yellow trumpet trees and lilies, making the picture of the countryside more brilliant and full of life.
The economy has developed in a sustainable direction, and the material and spiritual life of the people has been increasingly improved. The system of intra-field canals has been upgraded, and agricultural output has doubled. Production models according to the value chain have been widely deployed, helping people access the market better. The preferential loan support program has helped thousands of households develop their economy and improve their lives.
Ms. Ho Bao Trang, in Tam An commune, Long Dat district, is one of the households that has just received support for a corrugated iron roof and an electric rice paper oven. With the electric rice paper oven, she has less trouble, and the new corrugated iron roof makes the oven cooler and more airy. “I am very happy to receive support for machinery to develop production. This creates conditions for me to continue developing the long-standing rice paper making profession of my family in particular and the locality in general, as well as increase my income,” Ms. Trang shared.
