More than 4 thousand cadres, members and youths participated in the flag-raising ceremony "I love my Fatherland"

BDK.VN - On April 28, 2025, the Secretariat of the Vietnam Youth Union (VYU) in Ben Tre province simultaneously deployed 100% of the Union's branches to organize the "I love my Fatherland" flag-raising ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) with more than 4,000 members participating.

Many union members and young people participated in the flag-raising ceremony "I love my Fatherland".

Attending the provincial flag-raising ceremony at Phu Tu communal house were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union - Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province Phan Thanh Tre; Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union - Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of the city Vo Dang Ha Giang and representatives of the Committee of the Youth Union of Ben Tre city; cadres, union members, youth from communes, wards and schools in Ben Tre city.

According to Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union - Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union Phan Thanh Tre, April 30, 1975 is a brilliant milestone in the history of building and defending the country of the Vietnamese people. In 2025, the entire Party, people and army solemnly celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, which is an opportunity for us to review the heroic history, remember and pay deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs, heroic Vietnamese mothers, wounded and sick soldiers, and people with meritorious services to the revolution - those who did not spare their blood and bones, bravely fought and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

The Secretariat of the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union visited, encouraged and gave gifts to policy families in Ben Tre City.

This is also an opportunity for the young generation to demonstrate their responsibility, patriotism and willingness to contribute to the development of the province, while at the same time arousing national pride, strengthening faith in the revolutionary ideals, in the path that the Party, Uncle Ho and our people have chosen. The flag-raising ceremony " I love my Fatherland" is organized by the Association's branches at historical sites, red addresses associated with the local revolutionary movement.

After the flag-raising ceremony, each unit has activities to carry out projects and tasks to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day such as: Organizing and implementing social security activities, gratitude, giving gifts to families of policy beneficiaries, wounded soldiers, families of martyrs; visiting, encouraging, and expressing gratitude to veterans, former youth volunteers, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers...; cleaning and renovating martyrs' temples, steles, monuments, martyrs' memorial houses, historical relics of the resistance war; deploying Youth Volunteer teams to support workdays to remove temporary houses, dilapidated houses for policy beneficiaries, households in difficult circumstances in the locality... with a total value of projects and tasks of more than 250 million VND.

On this occasion, the Secretariat of the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union visited, encouraged and presented gifts to three policy families in Ben Tre City.
