This year’s High School Graduation Exam has more than 1 million candidates registered. According to the Ministry of Education and Training, from April 10-15, candidates who are 12th grade students were given accounts and passwords by their schools.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, this is a practice step for candidates to get familiar with the registration process, check personal information and best prepare for the upcoming official exam. The official registration period is from April 21 to 5:00 p.m. on April 28.

To facilitate candidates' registration, the Ministry of Education and Training notes that candidates' photos on the system must have a minimum resolution of 400x600 pixels, be taken in ID-style, and no more than 6 months before the application submission date.

From today, 12th graders can start trying to register for the 2025 high school graduation exam on the system.

During the process of registering for exams, preliminary registration, and university and college admissions, candidates must use a unified type of identification document: Citizen ID card/personal identification/passport number.

During the registration period, candidates wishing to apply for university or college admission must declare on the software complete and correct information with evidence to enjoy priority in admission according to regulations.

In addition, candidates are also advised to read the sections and instructions carefully before filling out the application form to enter information accurately and clearly. Candidates also need to keep their information confidential and change their personal password immediately after being granted, to avoid letting others log in to their account. In the enrollment and career counseling program for 12th grade students this year in Hanoi, Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung, senior specialist of the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training) reminded candidates to carefully read each section when registering for the online exam to avoid mistakes in personal information, especially in the priority area, which could lead to loss of benefits.

During the previous registration process, candidates made some mistakes such as: Not declaring the correct subjects and priority areas, leading to some cases that should have passed but failed and vice versa.

Regarding foreign language certificates, this year's high school graduation exam has changes, candidates should take note.

Previously, international certificates were converted to 10 points for high school graduation, but this did not ensure fairness because some students had certificates and some did not, so this year the Ministry of Education and Training has stopped converting points to ensure fairness for candidates.

Candidates with foreign language certificates that meet the requirements can use them to register for exam exemption, in which case the admission will only use the results of 3 exams.

On the exam registration form, candidates wishing to be exempted from the foreign language exam must clearly state the type of certificate that qualifies for exemption or that they are a member of the national team participating in the International Olympic competition in foreign languages ​​and are exempted from the exam.

In case candidates have a foreign language certificate but still register for the exam, the exam results will be used for admission consideration.
