On the afternoon of April 11, at the Cultural House of Thuan Hung Commune, My Tu District (Soc Trang), comrade Phan Thi Xinh Huong - President of the Women's Union of Soc Trang Province presented 50 gifts to female members in difficult circumstances on the occasion of Chol Chnam Thmay New Year 2025. Attending the gift-giving ceremony were leaders of the Women's Union of My Tu District; leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thuan Hung Commune.

Thuan Hung is one of the communes in My Tu district with a large Khmer population. In the spirit of sharing and encouraging Khmer women to overcome difficult circumstances, the Provincial Women's Union presented gifts, each worth 300,000 VND, to help women's families have a warmer Tet holiday.

It is known that in this period, the Women's Union of Soc Trang province presented 250 gifts to female members in 5 communes and wards (each commune and ward presented 50 gifts), including: Thuan Hung commune (My Tu); Tuan Tuc commune, Thanh Tri commune (Thanh Tri district); Long Phu commune (Long Phu district) and Ward 4 (Soc Trang city), with a total cost of 75 million VND. Although the gifts are not valuable, they reflect the attention of the Women's Union for Khmer ethnic members on the occasion of the traditional New Year of the Khmer people.
