Currently, the national digital currency (CBDC) is receiving strong attention from many major central banks in the world such as Europe, China, Australia, Japan, Singapore, etc. The Prime Minister has assigned the State Bank to research and propose mechanisms and policies on national digital currency in the Non-Cash Payment Project. It can be understood that this is a start for CBDC research in Vietnam, keeping up with global trends.Scene at the workshop
The workshop “ Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC): Modernizing the Financial System in Macroeconomic Management ” is part of the UEB Research and Sharing Series organized by the University of Economics, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The workshop was attended by policy-making agencies, researchers, scientists, businesses, etc. The workshop listened to presentations and comments from managers, scientists, and businesses. This shows that the workshop is an in-depth forum with the participation of stakeholders, contributing a multi-dimensional view of the current situation as well as suggesting policies to research, develop and manage CBDC in Vietnam.University of Economics - Vietnam National University, Hanoi University of Economics is a member unit of VNU.
