* Mr. Tran Minh Tri - Member of the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee, Deputy Head (on duty) of the Ben Tre Province Young Theory Club:
Every April, amidst the cool green coconut trees and bustling life in our homeland Ben Tre, we feel more deeply the value of independence, freedom and the great sacrifices of our ancestors. After 50 years, Ben Tre has undergone dramatic changes: from a resilient land during the war, today our homeland is breaking through with new directions, developing high-tech agriculture, deep processing industry, community eco-tourism, renewable energy and promoting digital transformation. The socio-economy is constantly improving, people's lives are improving day by day, the appearance of urban and rural areas is increasingly changing. But above all, what makes us most proud is the Dong Khoi spirit - the spirit of resilience, indomitability, and loyalty - which is still being continued by generations of Ben Tre youth today with their youth, intelligence and aspirations to rise up.
We understand that inheriting the achievements of previous generations is not only about being grateful in words, but also about taking action in our lives today. Ben Tre youth need to constantly study, improve their professional qualifications, master new technologies, foreign languages, and digital skills to confidently integrate with the world. At the same time, the young generation needs to actively participate in the work of the Youth Union and Association, practice revolutionary ideals, ethics, and political courage to become a worthy successor to the Party and the homeland.
At the same time, young people also need to appreciate and preserve the heroic traditions of their homeland through specific actions, such as organizing activities to return to the source, educating revolutionary history, and retelling Dong Khoi stories in modern, creative language associated with digital technology. Most importantly, each young person needs to live a decent and responsible life through small daily actions: protecting the environment, helping the community, and joining hands to build a civilized lifestyle.
I believe that, with the heroic tradition, with the aspiration to rise up, with intelligence and sense of responsibility, the youth of Ben Tre today will continue the golden history of Dong Khoi, build the homeland to be more and more rich, civilized, modern, worthy of the great sacrifices of previous generations, and firmly integrate deeply with the country and the world.
*Nguyen Huynh Phi Nhung (young man from Ben Tre came to Ho Chi Minh City to watch the parade):
Today, my friends and I came directly to Ho Chi Minh City to watch the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. When I was standing here in person, I felt very happy and moved when I heard the sound of airplanes in peace, joined everyone in singing the national anthem, and saw the red flag with yellow star shining everywhere. In the moment of witnessing the solemn parade passing by, I really could not hide my emotion and pride. This is not just a ceremony, but a living symbol of history, an event for us young people to remember the sacrifices that many generations of fathers and brothers have made so that we can have the independence we have today. I can only bow my head in gratitude and tell myself to live a life worthy of those sacrifices.

*Mr. Tran Cao The (VNPT Ben Tre):
Watching the parade, march, and celebration of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country online at my unit, I felt very proud. This is an opportunity to review the tradition and national pride for generations of ancestors, national heroes, and soldiers who fell for independence and freedom today. The heroic and exciting atmosphere of the holiday has aroused my pride. Through that, it has given me more motivation to continue to strive, contribute my efforts, serve my profession, and successfully carry out assigned tasks. That is also the way I express my gratitude and service to the Fatherland.
* Mr. Ngo Thanh Liem - Ben Tre Provincial Journalists Association:
Although I only watched the parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification on TV, I still felt the heroic atmosphere and the spirit of solidarity and patriotism of the entire nation on the Great Day of April 30. It was reflected in every glance, every smile, every radiant face of the people, every heroic step of the soldiers, every bright red shirt of the national flag. Today, millions of hearts beat together, everyone shares the same joy, looks in the same direction and believes in the bright future of the Fatherland as it enters a new era - the era of national development.
I myself am very happy and proud to witness the great changes of the country in general and of my hometown Ben Tre in particular over the past 50 years. Those changes have brought a peaceful, prosperous and happy life to all people, which is a solid foundation for our country and our hometown to move forward steadily in the new era.

Today, reliving the heroic atmosphere of the historic April 30th has awakened in me boundless emotion and national pride. April 30th, 1975 is not only a historical day, but also a symbol of great victory, of the indomitable spirit and passionate patriotism of the Vietnamese people. Living in peace today, I have never forgotten how many generations of fathers and brothers fought steadfastly and fell for the independence and freedom of the nation. I am proud to be Vietnamese, to live on a land that has gone through so many ups and downs but still stood up steadfastly. Proud that our nation has overcome countless hardships, defeated the enemy with a spirit of solidarity, steadfast will and steadfast patriotism. April 30th is a sacred fire in my heart, reminding me to live better, to contribute more, to be worthy of the blood and sacrifice of those who came before. At the same time, we firmly believe in the strong development of our homeland Ben Tre in particular and the country in general; firmly believe and expect the transformation towards the New Era - "the era of national growth".

50 years is not too long compared to the history of a country, but a whole generation has passed, the golden generation of a heroic country, "fighting to make the Americans go away, fighting to make the puppets fall". The generation fought the enemy with bare hands, using primitive weapons to fight with the most modern weapons at that time. That generation, no need to be embellished, no need to praise, but the country and people have engraved them into the hearts of the Fatherland. Looking at each group marching through the stage, I felt extremely moved.
April 30, 2025 is not only an anniversary but also an event for today's generation to look back, reflect, be proud, be grateful and question themselves. Ask themselves if they are worthy of the nation and history.
From the sweat on the negotiating table, the strong arguments of Uncle Le Duc Tho to the steadfast and indomitable but very gentle and affectionate smile of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Binh, from the Long-haired Army of Miss Ba Dinh to the 5-wing army entering Saigon, the heroic pages of history have the opportunity to be read to the young generation and the tears and smiles of today are the gifts given by our predecessors and also the debt we owe to the future, a future that must truly rise up, must be truly glorious. "For the country to be peaceful from then on, for the blood to dye the flag of freedom..."
