Ca Tru performance in Hanoi
The document stated that, in order to implement the 2003 UNESCO Convention on the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage, member countries must send UNESCO a National Report on the status of an inscribed heritage and the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding, every 4 years for each heritage in the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding (Urgent List). In 2025, Vietnam must send UNESCO a National Periodic Report on the status of the Ca Tru Singing heritage inscribed on the Urgent List.
In preparation for the development of the National Periodic Report, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests the People's Committees of provinces/cities to direct the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and heritage subject communities to research and develop a Report on the status of protection of the heritage of Ca Tru singing, from 2022-2025 according to the attached Outline, ensuring the implementation of the reporting regime and commitments of member countries after the intangible cultural heritage of Ca Tru singing is recognized by UNESCO.
Reports from provinces/cities must be sent to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism before September 30, 2025 (via the Department of Cultural Heritage) to have a basis for synthesizing and developing a national report to send to UNESCO within the prescribed time.
