On August 11, Long Bien ward started the project "Restoration and embellishment of the architectural and artistic relic of Tran Vu temple", to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and the 1st Party Congress of the ward, term 2025-2030.

The new Long Bien Ward is a land rich in cultural traditions with 38 relics, of which Tran Vu Temple and Cu Linh Pagoda are typical complexes, recognized as national art relics in 1990. Tran Vu Temple preserves the bronze statue of Huyen Thien Tran Vu, 23 royal decrees, ancient stone steles, especially the "Sitting Tug of War" ritual - an intangible cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO in 2015. However, many items of this important relic have degraded, requiring urgent restoration.
The project "Restoration and embellishment of the architectural and artistic relic of Tran Vu Temple" was previously approved by the People's Council of Long Bien District in Resolution 96/NQ-HDND (March 14, 2023) and the People's Committee of Long Bien District in Decision 3823/QD-UBND (October 4, 2024), with a total investment of nearly 64 billion VND. The scale includes planning a campus of 7,500m², infrastructure renovation, restoration of temples, pagodas, exhibition houses, and auxiliary areas, ensuring the preservation of original elements.

In order for the project to be constructed on schedule and with the highest quality, speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Vice Chairman of Long Bien Ward People's Committee Vu Phuong Dong requested the Ward Project Management Board to manage and direct the project implementation process, ensuring that the construction process strictly complies with design documents, technical regulations, quality standards and labor safety. Use project capital effectively, transparently and in accordance with legal regulations. Regularly inspect and urge contractors and units, increase human resources, materials and means during the construction process to ensure project progress. Contractors strictly follow the design, ensure technical and aesthetic standards and preserve the ancient features of the relic.
The leaders of Long Bien Ward People's Committee also requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, the Community Investment Supervision Board; Party cell committees, leaders of residential groups, the Front Work Board of residential groups; the relic management subcommittee and all the people to strengthen inspection and supervision work so that the project is implemented in accordance with the approved design documents, ensuring the quality of the project and completing it on schedule.
The Ward's Department of Culture and Society , the Relic Management Subcommittee, and schools have proactively researched and included the content of visiting and learning at the Tran Vu Temple - Cu Linh Pagoda into the extracurricular curriculum; thereby educating the youth and students to have the responsibility to preserve and promote the fine traditional values of their homeland and country.
After the speeches, the leaders of the city, Long Bien ward, representatives of the Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee, the relic management subcommittee and the people performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the project in a solemn and exciting atmosphere.
