As a key bank, VietinBank actively develops capital to meet the capital needs of the economy, focusing on spreading capital flows to key economic sectors, promoting industry and local development. By the end of the first quarter of 2025, total consolidated assets reached VND 2.39 million billion, up 17.4% compared to 2023. Consolidated outstanding credit reached VND 1.73 million billion, up 16.8% compared to 2023; credit growth rate remains stable, sustainable, and often higher than the whole industry, meeting the capital needs of the economy.

VietinBank has continuously made its mark with a series of prestigious international awards: 13 consecutive years in the Top 2,000 largest enterprises in the world (Forbes), Top 200 most valuable banking brands globally (Brand Finance), Best SME Bank, Best Retail Bank... Notably, in 2024, VietinBank continued to be honored as Vietnam National Brand for the 8th consecutive time. Continuously achieving prestigious awards reflects the tireless efforts in providing quality products and services, while affirming VietinBank's strong commitment to the country's sustainable development.
VietinBank not only fulfills its business tasks well but also takes the lead in implementing social responsibilities, with a total budget of more than VND 9,500 billion for social security. From supporting the construction of tens of thousands of houses for the poor, sponsoring ambulances, upgrading schools and medical facilities to creating thousands of rural traffic works, each contribution spreads the spirit of sharing and the aspiration to serve the community with all our hearts.

Accompanying the historical milestones, VietinBank cooperated with the Press Department to organize the Press Center to serve the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, the workplace and work place of more than 700 reporters and editors at home and abroad. At the same time, together with Nhan Dan Newspaper, organized a special exhibition of technology - history, and distributed a special supplement free of charge to the public.
Comprehensive digital transformation - towards the digital future
Currently, VietinBank is promoting comprehensive digital transformation, aiming to realize the vision of becoming a leading, modern, efficient, and prestigious multi-functional bank in Vietnam, the Asia-Pacific region, and highly prestigious in the world. In 2024, 45 initiatives were deployed in the X01 Digital Transformation program, applying the Agile and Waterfall models. Typical initiatives include: DigiGOLD, online disbursement, online guarantee, digital banking on VietinBank iPay Mobile with more than 150 features, serving 9 million individual customers.
Entering 2025, VietinBank will accelerate digital transformation with the following focuses: Deeply digitizing products and services, redesigning processes, exploiting big data, applying AI and Big Data to personalize products, enhance customer experience and promote cross-selling and up-selling. At the same time, the bank will expand its lean organizational model, expand its digital factory and establish the Data and Artificial Intelligence Division - demonstrating its strategy of applying advanced technology.
VietinBank focuses on developing digital human resources, changing mindset and working culture through in-depth training on Agile, Machine Learning, POPM..., standardizing the implementation process according to the L-Gate method. This transformation spirit is spreading strongly throughout the system.
With a series of outstanding digital products such as VietinBank iPay Mobile, Online disbursement, eFAST XMATE, digiGOLD, VietinBank Genie..., VietinBank was honored to receive 5 Sao Khue 2025 awards. Notably, at WFIS 2025, Mr. Tran Cong Quynh Lan - Deputy General Director, Director of Information Technology and Data and Artificial Intelligence of VietinBank was honored as "IT Maestro of the Year", affirming its innovation capacity and leading position in Vietnamese banking technology.
